Jonboy
Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora Mike Munchak still deciding between offers from Texans and Steelers; would be pretty surprised if he did not end up with the black and gold John McClain @McClain_on_NFL Mike Munchak is going to the Steelers as o line coach. AFCman
I'd go with the Steelers.

Frone
I've honestly wondered if the reason we hadn't heard anything about potential OL coaches was that we were waiting on CLE to make a decision on HC. If Munch didn't get it and resigned to the fact that he'd have to go back to position coach to work (pretty evident that he understood this somewhat as he interviewed with HOU and PIT), maybe Whiz would then offer him the position here...possibly with an Asst. HC or Run Game Coordinator title, as well. I could see D'Alessandris being Whiz's second choice, but not sure if SD would grant an interview...and he's only been there one season...and we've already taken two coaches from them. Munch has familiarity with our guys and excelled as a position coach...and already has a house here. I could see why HOU or PIT would be attractive to him, as well as how awkward it could be here. I really have no idea...
Tex in a Can
Never going to happen, IMHO. Last think Whiz wants is his predecessor hanging around the halls talking to players. Tex in a Can
he's waiting to be officially turned down for the HC job at Cleveland. He's keeping both Pit and Hou on the line in case one loses patience and hires an O-line coach, he would have the other. Tex
OILERMAN
I'd like to see Munchak hired to run out after each kickoff and get the tee and run it back to the sideline. He can do a somersault as he gets back to the sidelines

Guest
Do any of you honestly think he would come back here/it would be a good idea for him to come back here after not being retained for head coach? On what planet does this dynamic work? I've heard it tossed around but it's ridiculous to think it would happen/would even be a good fit.
Come on Titans
Are the Titans still on the hook for final contract year? $3M or something like that? If he takes a coaching job, does he double dip? or are the Titans off the hook?

chef
As Tex said, him having any further position with the team at all right now would be incredibly awkward for him, Whiz and the players. Just absurd to even contemplate it. About the only scenario that I could envision would have been if he had stepped down him self for personal reasons, Fish was brought back, and he asked Munch to stay on as Oline coach again. And THAT is potentially less silly than him staying on with Whiz. Knowing the Oiler history, it's not even out of the question.
