Jamalisms
Yep. Said that on the podcast a week ago. That is just a deadly sounding combo. Who knows if Clowney will work hard enough but I'd almost fear that and Bridgewater to the Jags (possibly) than the alternative.

Who knows if Clowney will work hard enough but I'd almost fear that and Bridgewater to the Jags (possibly) than the alternative. It's terrifying. Clowney to the Texans and Bridgewater to the Jags is just an absolute nightmare scenario for me personally. That being said...I think he's talking up Clowney to boost the trade value. Very possible a team like Atlanta or Tampa could trade up to 1 if they really want Clowney.
Face
I really think by the time all is said & done with the scouting, combine, and interview process that Clowney & Manziel will be the consensus top 2 players in the draft. And yeah, Watt & Clowney next to each other could be devastating. Also, and I guess this is for the draft forum, but I'm pretty sure if Johnny Football wasn't a crazy person he'd be miles ahead of Bridgewater as a prospect. He's just so unbelieveably good. Number9
It seems like when the Titans screw up, they just screw up. When the rest of the teams in the South screw up, they get rewarded big time.
Stan
IF Bridgewater gets passed the Texans, I don't see how the Titans don't trade with the Rams to steal Bridgewater. The Rams are looking to trade down, and Titans aren't dead set on Locker, this is the greatest opportunity they have if they feel Bridgewater is on top of their big board. But no RGIII trade. I'm ok with giving up our 2015 one but that's it Browns reportedly like Manziel. Who JAX likes is a mystery to me. Bortles is the local kid there I think if we package an extra one, we can get him. While I really like Teddy, he's not perceived to be an Andrew Luck or RGIII or Matt Stafford type prospect coming out. He's not a slam dunk #1. ESPN currently has him #12 on their BB. NFL Network did a mock with Teddy going 5. Only three QB trades have happened in the top 10 in the past 15 years (Vick, Eli, RGIII). So I think the possibility is there. I don't think teams are going to be fighting to trade up for him like teams did with RGIII. I don't think the Jags and Browns are in a situation where they can be giving up extra picks like that for a QB. We're not as talentless as them, we can afford it. I don't know what MIN is going to do Bridgewater's the only QB I'd do for it though. I'm not sold on Bortles. I think if we traded up for him, we may look back three years from now and go why did we do it. we really overreached again. Have to admit, there is a small part of me that thinks Manziel could be a star, but I wouldn't be willing to make that move

I don't think so. Bridgewater just gets overlooked by some because he played in a weak conference and didn't go against top competition every week. His preparation and knowledge of the game are simply unmatched. That's what sets him apart. Even if Manziel hits his ceiling, I'm not sure he'll ever be a guy who is making all the calls at the line. Teddy also has the edge in throwing from the pocket, which we know you have to do in the NFL.

JLocker10
Holy cow ...Kiper's first mock has him falling to 8th! And that's what we want. Let them pick him apart. Let them criticize and rip him as much as possible. I'd love it if Bortles and Manziel move ahead of Teddy in people's eyes
Cyrus
I think it's a very real possibility that Manziel goes first overall to the Texans.

Aramis
I think the Texans would be absolute fools to pick Clowney. Having Watt and Clowney would be insane, but they're not going anywhere without a QB. Shaub has held that franchise back for so long now. Either way, they'll likely get a good player there that will be a thorn in our sides.
Jonboy
Bridgewater would put the Titans in a situation much like we are in now at QB. He is very thin in his build. Do you invest so much int a skinny QB? I would not give away our future #1 pick and other future picks to get him. Show me where injuries have been a problem for Bridgewater in college (like they were with Locker). Is he reckless with his scrambling? No. Does he have poor pocket awareness? No. Is he able to feel and avoid pressure? Yes. Can he put on additional weight once he's in an NFL workout program? Yes.
