  1. I don't think Ward is ready to be consistently successful throwing that often, but more importantly I doubt the OLine can hold up in pass pro for that many snaps.
  2. I don't think throwing 30 times a game is a recipe for success.
  3. If the offense is so good that Daboll gets snatched up for an open HC position then I like Ward's chances.
  4. It's ideal because the only thing that really matters is for Ward to pan out. If that happens I don't care who the OC is. You'd rather have a lackluster offense with questions about Ward left unanswered just so we get the keep the OC and his system? I don't buy the downside of a defensive minded head coach. First of all a strong defense is a huge asset to a young QB because he's not constantly put in a position to have to score 30 points a game to win. Secondly, if the OC shits the bed you can just replace him without having to fire the entire coaching staff and start from scratch like the Titans just had to do. I'm not against continuity, but not just for the sake of continuity. And what's more important than continuity is having a stud at QB. If Ward turns out to be that top OC candidates will be lining up outside Vanderbilt Health Football Center.
  5. I hope the offense succeeds massively and Daboll is the hottest HC candidate out there. That's the ideal scenario.
  6. If that's true then the lightning bolt logo turns out to be pretty stupid.
  7. I might be willing to take my chances with the bots.
  8. I watched his highlights and immediately though he'd end up injured. He's lucky it's just an ankle sprain.
  9. The end zone play was the wrong read. The ball never should have gone to Tate. He was running a 2 yard out against press coverage. There's not enough time and distance to create separation. It had nothing to do with Tate's speed or route running. A ball thrown high would have given him a chance, but the DB was grabbing and holding on too...which the refs usually let go within a yard or so of the LOS.
  10. This is what it looked like to me. He was just a little too amped up. The intentional grounding play was bone-headed, but his processing will speed up once he's more comfortable in the offense and gets better recognizing what's going on with the defense. The good news is it looks like he was making the correct reads for the most part.
  11. I was wondering when we'd see some video of the joint practice.
  12. QB draw probably gives you the best chance of success with Levis.
  13. I just think it will be heartwarming to see Levis play in the stadium named after him.
  14. Of course most of these guys were millionaires before they ever got their first NFL check.
