  1. So... they hope Femi turns into DeMarcus Ware (long ass ways to go there...here's to hopium). Who's going to be their Von Miller stand in? David Bailey, Anthony Hill, Mason Thomas, Cassius Howell? 2:34... QB got rocked ^
  2. A dominant DT has always been valuable... if the DT is great at splitting through blocks and forcing double-teams. That's irrelevant to the Parsons thing, though. The Cowboys went from not having to worry about needing a dominant DT to having to worry about all of it. Donovan Ezeiruaku may help ease some of the absence of Parsons, but they could have had Parsons on one side and Eze on the other. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
  3. Reid always seemed to get a ton of criticism before Mahomes landed in his lap. Sucked as an in-game situation manager, etc.
  4. The one week it might pay to be a homer, especially around here.
  5. I know it's not that serious, that's my point. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater just because somebody didn't get the Desitin is a bit overkill.
  6. Jesus Christ... sure, fine, whatever. We could won the Super Bowl to-fucking-morrow if we'd made the trade! Fire the whole lot of them, they're worthless, can't see the asshole for the shit! And fire Parsons too, if he didn't want to come here. Hell, fire the whole world into the fucking sun cuz I'm tired of life!
  7. Whether he would have or not is irrelevant. He wasn't chosing a 3-14 team he might help get into the playoffs this year or next over a team he can help push into the Super Bowl this year.
  8. Maybe he had Scotty beam the wings into his stomach.
  9. The Titans had more than enough cap space to make his contract work, but do you think Parsons maybe wanted to go to a contending team? The Packers are ready for a Super Bowl run right now. The Titans, even with Parsons, would be at least 2 or 3 years away, closer to when Parsons will be coming out of his prime. Also, I'm sure the Titans were one of the other interested teams, but if the Cowboys wanted Simmons in return surely you can understand why the Titans would say no and back out. Besides, what kind of message would it send to the team they're trying to build that just elected Simmons a team captain to just up and trade him away?
  10. So who's in the mood for some wings?
  11. And if that's the case it was never going to happen with us. Borg would have wanted to pair Parsons with Simmons, not replace Simmons with him.
  12. The excitement came from an instant rush at the thought of having Parsons here along with an instant pang of disappointment when you saw he wouldn't be. The key word being instant. The Titans never had Parsons in their plans. In spite of how you might feel about that, it's not wrong they didn't. And this is regardless of whether or not the Titans were one of his choice of teams. Even with Parsons, the Titans weren't going to the playoffs this year. And here's the reality: this team is all about Cam Ward, not a pass rusher who suddenly became available. Here's another reality: the guy who drafted Cam Ward came from an organization who are coming off an 7th consecutive AFCC appearance and a 3rd consecutive Super Bowl appearance. So, you need to tell the disappointment you feel about missing out on Parsons to go play with itself. This team is being built to last, not to go chasing hype.
  13. And yet you still said you didn't think he deserved the PS and that you would have to question the Borg.
