Agreed. Greyworm is one of those supporting characters that was given more screen time than needed (Sam is another one) and ended up being waste of screen time.

I'd argue that she has always been a crappy leader. Others (her advisors) have always kept some of those tendencies in check.

I ended up rewatching some of S1 a couple of weeks ago. It was painfully obvious then too. She just has this blank "deer in the headlights" look most of the time.
