  1. I am banking on this being the case. The only thing that rouses them is trouble at Winterfell and/or dragons (or the dragons are a response to them being roused). I am thinking there is a long and ancient link between the Starks and the White Walkers, and that is why Cat says "there must ALWAYS be a stark in Winterfell." The starks as Wardens of the North help establish and preserve the truce reached with the White Walkers.
  2. Yeah I remember now. The trial and how she surprisingly turns the tables on Littlefinger. That was sweet.
  3. Shit I totally forgot - Arya killed Littlefinger?
  4. Yeah - I am expecting almost any character I like to die. I think GRRM said "bittersweet." Something that just occurred to me today is that almost everyone could die and it could end in kind of an uneasy peace with the whitewalkers and Danny: "the dragon has three heads." But if all the whitewalkers are wiped out, the dragons are all sure as hell going to be killed too, and Danny and the Targarean line with them. Magic is either going to keep on existing or be totally eradicated.
  5. Lol that's a good one
  6. Trailer is out. omg omg omg
  7. This alone should be enough. Sessions was the most effective and respected member of Trump's cabinet that he had. No one had done a better job of enacting Trump's agenda than Sessions, ESPECIALLY on immigration. You know, the issue that is a total emergency crisis worth shutting down the government over? And then he recused himself in the most obvious recusal situation ever. And that's what got him fired.
  8. Books haven't explained that connection between night king and the children.
  9. Fair enough, but that would be pretty useless. Those things are stupid, like zombies. If that's Cersei's fate then that means she's a big loser
  10. The first was made by the Children
  11. That's not how white walkers work. The white walkers army of the dead is made up of te animated corpses. But white walkers themselves are created as babies.
  12. I'm not buying it. I want to believe, but put me down as saying it won't get finished. Other than Trump being elected, will never be happier to be proven wrong.
  13. I don't see it. But I admire your hope.
  14. Theres a near zero chance Martin finishes the series. It's why I try to not be too critical of the show. It's all we have and ever will have so might as well roll with it.
  15. Last night I killed some dude with a bat that attacked me with a knife. I felt vindicated.
  16. Hey don't include me in this rant. Avid book nerd here -read them through three times. And I love the show.
  17. Don't forget allowing the children to be destroyed.
  18. Yeah in the books the three eyed raven told him he could see whatever the eyes of the tree see, have seen or will see, basically.
  19. I have no idea how Jon is going to find out about his parentage but there is some magical power way beyond just dead Starks in the crypts at Winterfell. I think the crypts in part hold the key to my predicted relationship between the Starks and the White Walkers. Like there was a pact and it was sealed in the crypts, or now with tat other epiosode I am thinking maybe the first White Walker was/is a Stark (the guy they shoved the dagger into) and that the Starks did this willingly to help the Children. I don't know. I just feel very strongly there is an ancient connection between white walkers and the Starks, that the loss of Winterfell in addition to the dragons is why the white walkers have gotten aggressive and gone rogue, and that whatever the connection is, Winterfell, and esp the crypts of Winterfell, are key to it.
  20. So, therefore they should be able to just show us anything and we should accept it because there are dragons and magic? Come on you are smarter than this. Fantasy should be internally consistent. In fact that's what makes this series so great. The fact it is fantasy with visceral realness. The Snow stuff didn't bother me all that much. They absolutely pulled a hjack job on the Arya storyline though.
  21. although that is cool, IMO nothing is better than Ramsey being fed to his own mean starving dog.
  22. All she admitted to was fornication with men other than the king. She is on trial for all the rest - sleeping with her brother, plotting to have the king killed, etc.
  23. Guy kills it in every scene he is in.
  24. I enjoyed the last two books better than most. In fact I really liked them. But Tyrion's long drawn out trip and inner dialogue seemed totally unnecessary. I guess we will find out how much all of the stuff that happened on that trip ends up being important, but it is hard to imagine that shit couldn't have been reduced by hundreds of pages. Loved the travelling priest with Dog. And I didn't mind the Brienne and Pod travelling adventures. Those were important to show the land ravaged by war. Brienne is another one of my favorite characters. And Jamie redemption story extremely powerful.
  25. And therein lies the problem. You get as big as GRRM and you can tell your editor to fuck himself. The paradox of accomplished writers and moviemakers and others (Wagner, anyone?)
