Lol thx for service. @MM808 I hear it all the time how people get much better care from a male RN but I do agree. If I was a pt you better give me a hot nurse 10/10 times. I work in emergency medicine. Level 1 trauma. Its a fucking blast. However, extremely stressful. Ppl complain about wait times, but let's be honest. Is it really an EMERGENCY?! I understand those who have no doctor but I would say 50-60% of ER pt use the ED as if it was their primary care. They come in with a cold or headache and complain about waiting 4-6 hours to be seen and scream and cuss at us for someone with chest pain or stroke symptoms goes straight back because that person didn't have to wait and they have been waiting 4-6 hours. It needs to be fixed. Healthcare is bad right now. Edited May 27, 2016 by Kyle021 EagleEye
Titan8425
The service is my pleasure. Yeah people don't know how to take care of themselves and think they...#1 should see the doc for a cold, sinus pressure, etc, #2 shouldn't have to wait to see the doc for the sniffles. I have pt's come to me after a ER visit for a f/u. Sez me: "so you went to the ER for N/V", sez them "I threw up once and figured I should get it checked out" The good thing with being Military I actually can tell them there an idiot and that there parents failed to raise them to be FUNCTIONING adults. I prefer Emergency med. Plug up the bullet hole, tourniquic the bleeding, make sure they have an air way and MEDIVAC them to the rear. It gets a little hairy when I've got to hang on to one of those pt's for a few hours with nothing but whats in my bag. But I gotta admit there's huge satisfaction in it and a major rush. When I'm not deployed I'm just Family Med. Gets a little old. Right now I'm with a Wounded Warrior Battalion. A lot of PTSD, major joint issues, and multi organ problems; doing a lot of Ortho and Internal Med with a dash of mental health added in. Some days I hit the gym for an extra hour just to burn the stress. kyle021, and CaliTitan3518

"I don't want you to have a bad trauma. I just want to be there when it does" I couldn't do family med stuff. I would be twiddling my thumbs out of boredom all day.
