Earl was drafted in the 70s, it's ridiculous to compare his production to guys who played 20-30 years later...... Where does Staubach compare to more recent HOF QBs in terms of yards and passing TDs? No he wasn't, unless you're actually going by overall numbers in which case OJ played every season of the 70s, Walter played starting in 75 and Earl only played 2 seasons in the 70s. In the 70s Earl Lead the league in rushing both seasons and averaged over 100yds per game, he had 32 TDs in his two seasons and led the league in rushing TDs with 19 in 79. Their styles were different but CJ has way more skills.......and Earl had a coach that used him perfectly to his skill set. CJ still has not had this and he is out yarding Earl........that is how special he is.
