abenjami
Patriots on the road @ Jets (Thursday night) Ravens on the road @ Chargers Rams on the road @ Cardinals Tell me which one and why.
Jamalisms
Rams, because Zona gives up sacks... including against the Rams last time.
abenjami
I should also add, here is how many fantasy points each has scored in my league thus far... Pats 101 Ravens 93 Rams 54 Our scoring system is such that you get 1 point for a sack, 2 for a turnover, 6 for a TD, and then there are ranges for points and yards allowed. So if your defense gets blown up, you can actually get negative points on the week.
Jamalisms
Yikes... I wouldn't go with a team aginst SD in SD. Maybe look at what Rams scored against Cards and know that that's the most they could possibly score this time, likely a lot less, is it worth the risk? Dmeade-
I would go with the patriots because their defense has been pretty good all year, they just put up 27 points on the Colts, and Sanchez sucks and has no one to throw it to. Chandler Jones putting pressure on Sanchez would hopefully mean a pick 6 by McCourty.
abenjami
In a normal week, I would choose the Pats. However, I am hesitant because Gronk just went down and they play Thursday night on a short week. I saw a stat that Gronk has been on the field for 94% of their snaps. Hernandez also might not be back yet. I'm afraid the Pats offense will be a little crippled, which will hurt their defense. They scored 27 last week but had 3 defensive TD's. You take those away and they only scored 9 points.
Dmeade-
9 points is still respectable for a defense. The Texans defense gave me a big goose egg in my main league.
abenjami
The decision will get a lot easier if Ed Reed's suspension sticks and he's not playing this weekend.

OILERMAN
Are the Cards playing their 3rd string QB? If they are I would start the Rams and might anyway. The lack of turnovers cannot continue
abenjami
Last I read, that was only a temporary benching. Kolb is supposed to start practicing again this week and could possibly start. If he's not ready, Skelton will start. No matter who starts at QB for the Cards, he's definitely worse than Rivers (vs. Balt) and probably worse than Sanchez (vs. NE). I'm sort of thinking along the same lines. The lack of turnovers can't continue. They are due for a blow up. And even if they don't create turnovers, their pass rush is legit and the Cards O-line sucks (see 9 sacks last meeting earlier this season). On the flip side, the Cards are at home and have a pretty good defense. I think Bradford sucks but regardless of your opinion of Bradford, that offense is having serious issues moving the ball. I don't want a repeat of their game against the Jets last weekend where the defense plays solid but scores no fantasy points because the offense can't keep them off the field and keeps giving up bad field position. wiscotitansfan
Quick interjection with a question of my own. Do I drop the Rams D (I have Arizona D too) to pick up whatever waiver guys are sent my way? Both my leagues I NEED a win so D actually plays a part this week. Titansfan920
I'm not going to lie. My strategy with defenses the past few years when it gets playoff time (unless I already have an elite D), is to pick up whoever is playing a QB like Cam Newton or Mark Sanchez. I have the Pats this week. Haha.
abenjami
I thought I had made a decision to start the Pats this morning when I saw Kerley is banged up and probably won't play. Then I just read Lindley is getting the start for the Cards. I'm definitely down to either the Pats or Rams. I feel like the Rams is the better start but I just can't ignore the fact the Pats defense has scored 2x as many fantasy points this season.
