I think its more about people realizing he's not a problem, than it is them wanting to celebrate his performance. They are glad he's showing consistency, which is good because he's the highest paid player on the team and will be around even when we start the new era after this season...

He was averaging 3.6yds per carry before the long run

And I think the Bears considered it garbage time since they had their back-ups in

Pretty good against this run D. I wouldve taken 20 to 25 carries of that if the game were close. Wouldn't you?

So that's the latest excuse? He sucks, but the rest of the team sucks worse? Or, we suck so bad, it doesn't matter anyway that he sucks too? Wow.

I never said he sucks. I'm trying to find common ground with you people. Look, the Titans got blown out, Britt fumbled and had a dumb smile on his face when he did it, the kid is missing routes and dropping passes. Hasselbeck is old and looked scared in the pocket, Jared Cook wants star treatment and can do nothing with any targets he does get and are Defense is the worst EVER.

Yet all of you are in here... because you CAN"T STAND IT that people enjoy watching Chris Johnson run.

That's what we're down to. Who are the nutcases? The Titans were destroyed, and CJ getting credit for his performance is what bothers you the most.

He's absolutely a problem and of course you don't realize it, you said LW was the face of the franchise.

He wasn't consistent today, he stunk the whole game aside from a long run against back-ups.

Running the ball.. he was consistent today before the long run.

Rotoworld puts it in perspective. But I doubt you'll agree with it:He added four catches for four yards. Johnson was having a forsaken afternoon until early in the fourth quarter, where he found a seam and dashed 80 yards to the house. The 80-yard touchdown was the fifth of his career, and provided the final score in Tennessee's embarrassing 51-20 loss. Before his big scamper, Johnson had just 54 yards on 14 carries to go along with his two lost fumbles. The good news is, CJ?K was again running with purpose, rarely getting knocked down behind the line, and typically tacking on extra yards. He's had 90-yard efforts in five of his past six games, and has moved well beyond his humiliating start to the season.

I cannot speak for others but my main gripes are the lack of fundamentals with this team. Tackling and securing the football.

Honestly the D did a decent job today. Unfortunately for them STs and the O fucked them by allowing plays that resulted with the D starting series with the opponent already in the red zone like 4 or so times. Hell they held them off when we fumbled on the first offensive series but that is unlikely when the other team is already a short FG from scoring on 1st down.

CJ was already criticized justly before this game and then he turns it over twice. Yet criticizing him should be off limits because he scored a long td. Unbelievable. He was a part of the problem not the solution.

So you agree that an 80 yard TD against backups down 20 in the 4th quarter is meaningless?

As soon as it happened I said "so what" lol. So yeah I knew it didn't mean squat aside from it being fun to watch.

I just think his entire performance could be considered meaningless because of how bad everything was as a whole. There's no way to really judge how good/bad he was with everything being awful. It's like the team was just out there taking anything they could get.

On a side note, Charles Tillman is amazing. He might have jumped over JJ Watt for defensive player of the year.

Instead of him running for an 80 yard score against backups I'd have rather seen him get a yard or two on 2nd and 3rd and short in the 1st quarter with the score tied at 0.

Before the 80 yard run he wasn't having a bad day running the ball.

Today's performance was like his against NE in 2009 except he fumbled twice.

And yes, Tillman is amazing.
