We went from he'll never coach again and he's an idiot to people saying he was just burned out and Scine proclaiming he was his biggest fan. It even sounds like Jamal has forgiven him for not trotting VY out there sooner. Oilerman, what I've said on more than one occasion is that he needs to abandon his style of coaching that you need to run the ball and stop the run to win in this league. And if he is willing to do that he can win. He can't win for a long period of time if he is a run-first coach. He also has to take more chances. And I've always said he was a good coach when he concentrated on that aspect. i surely hope your not trying to lump me in with this statement. I've been on record a long time. He was clearly burned out at the start of 2009 and didn't have the same passion for the game as he did in 2008. And that loss against Baltimore took a lot out of him. I think he thought, like most of us, that he was going to win the SB that year. That doesn't mean that fans of the Titans can't be bitter towards him for basically holding the franchise hostage for two years. What he should have done is stepped down after 2008. I have been a fan if this org since Whiteshoes and Fisher was the best thing that ever happened to it and it's going to get sad here again and it's going to last awhile. scine09 Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 17, 2012 There's developing slowly, and there's waiting until his 7th year, out of necessity, to let a guy throw the ball more than the bare minimum. And 2002 the same thing happened. They started off 1-4 and Fisher was pretty much forced to turn the offense over to McNair. I really didn't get on Fisher for it because football was a different game in the late 90's early 2000's than it is today. But we've seen absolutely no evidence and from judging by his quotes there was no reason to think he's changed. Let's be honest. After 2 weeks we have no idea what kind of a coach he is going to be with St. Louis. We'll know in 3 years probably at the earliest whether he will be a success or failure. All of the sudden the games are being played and Fisher looks like an outstanding coach and Scine is trying to spin himself back into being a rational person.
