, the only logically consistent take we could have is that Tannehill was holding the offense back this year. Not sure that's a conversation many are ready for...

You remember the JuJu Threads.  I posted after the NY Giants loss he passed up open targets to get us in makable FG range.  I sent one of my groupies @BudsOilers to retrieve the tape.  Never heard back, guess didn't like what he saw.

Again Tannehill was hired for a reason.  He did a wonderful job.  Not For Long.  Age, way too many hits, the demons from the 2021 playoff game, now three injuries.  He's been through a lot for people to be thinking 2 years later 2024 any team is giving him a big contract.  Except the Titans, they are going to put the tag on him.

They're going to run a lot of cloud zones against us waiting to see if he can read the field and see the easy target. They're going to squeeze the sidelines deep and leave flat curls open.

I say this only because he put himself on the map with those deep throws. He's going to look bad at times.

You're 100% correct. He's going to look like a rookie at times and that's OK. Let's get the rookie performances out of the way now instead of in his sophomore campaign.

I mean Levis equalled TAnnie's production in the first half (in terms of TDs). Then he doubled it. The OL played VERY well too. Defense almost gave this one away, despite a great first half. If this team can play consistently, they'd be very good. If if if..

Meanwhile, though, Levis doesn't play scared. Willis does. So there's that debate over. They could cut Willis tomorrow, and I'd be fine. Never liked that pick. Levis surprised me, though. I would not have expected what we saw. He has a good arm, but his decision making is usually suspect, and we were told he wasn't good at the switch up. And yet, he showed great touch, a BIG arm, and...perhaps most important of all...poise. I start him for the rest of the year and build for the future (we will won't win more than 6 games this season...so let's work to the future.
