They should have just sold this as a next gen game and they would have avoided a lot of this. CDPR wanted to delay it again but the shareholders weren’t having it. They wanted a Christmas release. TitansFan777 Posted December 20, 2020 Report Share Posted December 20, 2020 I got the PS4 version (albeit the one with the free upgrade to the PS5 for when I buy it next year). The textures of the game are pretty bad at rendering so far. I was honestly expecting a GTA like game set in the future. While the game is ok, the controls are fucking awful. Seems like a first person GTA but the interactions outside your missions aren't as fun and there's a fuckton of cutscenes. graphics look tight. CP2077 is a buggy underwhelming piece of shit. It's actually a lot better game than I was expecting. Since the 2nd patch, I haven't had any issues and it's not like the 1080 is some technical beast. Since I had no real expectations for the game, I am very happy with an updated Saints Row 3 type nonsense that is too over the top for the hype that CDPR presented. wiscotitansfan Posted December 29, 2020 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2020 Finished the game last night, I know that I got the "good ending" but the story was by far the games biggest redeeming quality. The facial expressions on everyone on all the cutscenes throughout the game I feel is something that really drew me in to the story. There are probably countless examples of just copy and paste bullshit that shows no emotions, but it felt like all the really important cutscenes were top notch with conveying emotion. Was not disappointed. Yeah, it's sad that how hyped this game was it still falls so far behing GTA, Red Dead and Witcher in terms of massive open world experiences. Red Dead 2 is also one of the best games I’ve ever played, even if it’s online mode was a huge letdown. titanruss Posted December 30, 2020 Report Share Posted December 30, 2020 The driving physics are terrible. It's almost impossible to wreck the car or bike. No great jups... all the open world stuff looks like they just downloaded a cheap package... like GTA 1 type stuff. Stories and graphics are what it has going for it.. I'm very disappointed. I’m having a good time even with the glitches and occasional crashes. They are releasing a patch in a few days to further stabilize it, another patch in feb, and a free DLC for everyone the second half of this year. I just didnt think that the game physices were nearly as fun as GTA series. ITs almost impossible to flip a car or fall off a bike. NPCs arent as funny... less interaction.
