reo
Elway has someone tweet for him (someone said). It'd be hilarious if they just said they were headed back and the guy that tweets for him didn't know they didn't see him throw
scine09
Again, the Broncos were barely there. I doubt he threw at all. The plane left at 10:30 AM est, takes 2 hours at least to get there, then they have to get to the facility, Manning has to throw, and they have to go back to the plane, which happened about an hour ago. So they got to the facility at 1 at the earliest and left at 3:30 at the latest.
AutismDetector
From The Chronicle's Twitter: "Elway just tweeted that he enjoyed watching Peyton throw today, but it's unclear when/for how long that happened, appeared they spent (1/2)" "their time away from both the indoor/outdoor practice facilities, unless he threw briefly at the very beginning of the visit (2/2)"
tinman
He threw.. The video shows him walking out to the practice field in work out clothes... The hilarious thing is they walked out and behind them was about 20 tackling dummies that were columbia blue and said Titan with the number 64... It's a sign man

tinman
What video? Where at? NFLN is showing it.. it doesn't show him throwing but you see all the exec's, elway, cutcliffe, and manning walk out onto Duke's practice field and they had footballs... Peyton was in shorts and a teeshirt... If that was all staged for show then this has gotten beyond stupid...

scine09
I am wondering if maybe Elway or one of the Broncos' staff didn't like what they saw and just ended it and that's why things were so short and the tweet seemed so lukewarm.
rugbyflank
I am wondering if maybe Elway or one of the Broncos' staff didn't like what they saw and just ended it and that's why things were so short and the tweet seemed so lukewarm. Good point, didnt think of that. I would say thats a good possibility. You would think that they would have stayed longer if there was a high interest. I also think that if Manning knew that he was going to throw, he would have some sort of schedule on what he was going to do, passes, routes, etc... which for Manning I think would be longer then the time they were in there. Didnt their medical staff show up too? Maybe they didnt like what they saw either. Interesting take
TampaTitan
He said he "threw great" and "looked very comfortable". Not sure what else the guy needs to say. On the contrary to not liking what he saw and cutting the time short, maybe he saw exactly what he wanted to see, and in knowing who it was throwing the ball felt there was need to have the guy throw any more than he did. Conspiracy theorists.
rugbyflank
Just saying there are 2 reports...not doubting Elway, but strange an article would come out and say that he didnt throw
