The fact this isn't the 1970s makes him a 2nd or later pick IMO.  It is all about stopping the pass now.  A one dimensional DL guy has very little utility.

Huge NTs can have a big impact on 3-4 pass rushes.

Here is a breakdown on how much difference the NT makes in scores, wins and such statistically.

Throws some stats at you and some charts to make it seem like in depth analysis but really it's mostly speculation and meaningless numbers since there's very little context.

You could easily argue that if 15% of the variation in score can be attributed to good NT play and there's another 85% remaining and 10 other players if each has the same impact then that's 8.5% each... about half the contribution of the NT.

So instead, look at it from a strategic standpoint. If you single block a good NT then he pushes the center into the QB. If you double or triple him them it opens up lanes elsewhere.

Not sure what you expect but it showed how well the NT plays is practically insignificant to the outcome of the game.  The biggest part of that is because the game is so pass driven now.   You can imagine some NT "pushing the pocket" and all kinds of non-sense but it is unrealistic.  Obviously the NT is only one of 22 starters on offense and defense but compared to those other guys it is one of, if not the least important position on the field.

Did you miss the part where I talked about the numbers? They're misleading.

And a push up the middle is the best type of pass rush.

Don't expect him to fall to 25 but if he does, he should be the pick.

Yeah I don't think there's any chance we get him but it'd be awesome.

If he falls to us it is a must take and a steal, solves the problem for the next 8-10 years.  Follow best player available formula. we have put band aids on last year and this year with Logan.  Build from middle out.

He wont be there

But if he falls he would be a great pick!  You never know,  players fall, it is part of the process , Titans must be prepared for a really good player falling.  If he was there he would be my pick.

If not we need to draft a nose tackle in the draft that can really plug it up and play for a long time, like Vince Wilfork, drafted 21st in round one in 2004
