Biggest game in Mike Mularkey's career

No chance in hell he is extended, if we lose these last 3 games and will miss the playoffs. No chance in fucking hell. There’s going to be to much media coverage and to much heat on them espically if a 0-5 Charger team takes our spot or the Ravens go ahead of us, a team we beat mind you. Also the Bills who probably will be playing a guy that threw 5 interceptions in his first career start with Taylor hurt. Mariota struggling won’t be a big enough excuse because of how close the games are. It’s not like we’re getting blown out the water. The excuse is going to be paper thin.

You're thinking like a fan.

It's not your decision - it's an ownership decision so try thinking like them.

The fact that we're not getting blown out is exactly what will save his job.   AAS can always be convinced that we're almost there and just need a little better luck next season.

Media heat just rolls off her shoulders.

She doesn't live here and rarely addresses the media.

Mularky is safe this year and possibly beyond unless we regress majorly next year.

I haven't really gotten the feeling that the Titans are that cheap since AAS came in.  She started pulling that wallet out from the jump.  Spruced up the stadium.  Improved facilities.  Gave Mularkey the go ahead to do whatever.  He started changing the culture around here.  One of his first orders of business was to put up inspirational posters everywhere.  Nobody is talking about it but that's when we started really winning.  It's the little things.  Guys are buying into it.  We are trampling the weak.(Texans)  The dead have been hurdled.(Andrew Lucks Colts).  Trust me.  Nobody wants to play the Titans in Janurary.

The stadium improvements are funded through the sports authority by way of a ticket tax and are mandatory per the contract between the Titans and the city.

Hmm...I didn't notice this tidbit but this Boston writer seems to think Mularkey needs to make the playoffs to return  for next year.

This season has been a disaster in Denver, and coach Vance Joseph is in serious danger of being one-and-done (and expect several changes on defense, as only Von Miller is safe). The Titans currently own the first AFC wild card, and Mike Mularkey likely needs to make the playoffs to save his job. The 6-7 Raiders have been one of the bigger disappointments in the NFL, and second-year coach Jack Del Rio is not guaranteed to return.

Further on in the column as well

And three teams with Patriots ties should have openings. Lions GM Bob Quinn can entice McDaniels with Matthew Stafford. Titans GM Jon Robinson has Marcus Mariota. And Bucs GM Jason Licht has Jameis Winston. I would rank those jobs in that order, based mostly on the QB play. I doubt McDaniels would consider the Texans or Broncos, two Patriots rivals.

Why would they consider the Texans a Patriot rival but not the Titans..?

They've played the Patriots in the playoffs last year?  Plus we've been awful for a while which helps.
