OILERMAN
Another 5TDs and another 140+ passer rating last night for Rodgers
StephenIsLegend
Best in the biz. However, the Bears suck without their top playmakers.
WG53
Both are so good I think it is an exercise in futility to argue who is better.
FightinTitan
The impressive thing about Rodgers is that he rarely turns the ball over. Compare that with Brees or Brady. Rodgers dominates that category hands down.
tinman
I never seen Brees, Jugghead, or Brady make Urlacher and Briggs look like fools... He ran right between them as they tackled each other.... It almost had that Favre/ strahan feel to it...
OILERMAN
Rodgers locked up up last night on prime time. He hasn't had one game with multiple INTs. He leads everyone in every category except yards and that's the least meaningful stat
XAEA12
Rodgers locked up up last night on prime time. He hasn't had one game with multiple INTs. He leads everyone in every category except yards and that's the least meaningful stat I think you might be right, Oman. that was a spectacular primetime performance on Christmas day. I'm curious to see what Brees does tonight that could stand up to what we witnessed yesterday.
tinman
If the saints are smart they would put a cork in Brees and get the running game ready for some cold bad weather games outside that dome.. the NFC goes thru GB..
wiscotitansfan
If the saints are smart they would put a cork in Brees and get the running game ready for some cold bad weather games outside that dome.. the NFC goes thru GB.. Not a bad idea at all, never really thought of it this way. But I can't see them doing it, not when Brees is a good game away from breaking Marino's record... Jamalisms
Brees passes more, more often by % of plays, completes a higher (and record level) %, and will have set a couple of yardage related records by the end of the year. While that doesn't make him pass more TDs or fewer interceptions, there is one hell of a lot more he leads than yardage. Rodgers had it won before this week barring a titanic collapse, which didn't come close to happening.
Jamalisms
Btw, Rodgers against the Bears was insanely impressive. He passed for 5 TDs for the first time in his career... something Brees has already done twice this year.
NashvilleNinja
FWIW, I still say Rodgers. But that could change pending a Saints win against Green Bay in the playoffs this year.
XAEA12
I couldn't blame anyone for picking Rodgers but I have to go with Brtees, he's so dominant, he can pass in and out of the pocket, he is pinpoint precise, and he's dominated with 2 different teams which is damn impressive. but that 45 to 6 TD interception ration by Rodgers is just sick. I definitely think that Brees is so accurate he tries for much riskier throws, like the 2 picks he had tonight, they were right where they needed to be they were just tight windows. It really does seem like comparing great rappers, you get 2 guys that are so good it's almost a matter of taste which one you'd prefer, they're both incredibly elite. JLocker10
As crazy as this might sound, I think Brees is a bit under appreciated For years, you would always hear Brady and Manning or Manning and Brady But I really think it should've been Brady, Manning, and Brees To me, Brees has been in their class for awhile now His numbers are ridiculous the past 5-6 seasons Not only did he break Marino's record, but he's the only QB to throw for over 5,000 yards twice He completed 70.6% of his passes in 2009 70.7% this season His TD passes the last 4 seasons? 41 (with one more game left) 33 34
WG53
Jnew that is more revisionist bs. Brees did not dominate in San diego. His best year in SD and only very good year was 2004. He had the least amount of attempts per game that year of all the years he started close to a full season. He had a great QB rating but only like 3100 yards.
