What part of their plan has faltered?

The offer to Williams and the other thread about our standing offer for Cooks pretty much confirm to me that's Jrob's off season plan has been a bust thus far. The FO wouldn't be feeding these stories out AFTER the start of free agency if that weren't the case. It seems the Titans have had a hand in a few big free agents that would benefit the team and the fans would covet. It hasn't happened.

These news stories are released to let fans know they have tried some shit.

That's what I thought. Let the fans vent before you jlocker10 and Japan act righteous about free agency. Yes the draft is obviously the most important for the future of the franchise's success, but the front office talked a big game prior to free agency and their plans have clearly faltered. Feel free to pick anyone out that is going to far on their ranting, but don't make it a generalization that the board thinks the sky is falling.

A fucking Men bro. Can I like this post a zillion times? It's not OS, it's a few others, but I'm so sick & tired of the same few posters condescendingly criticizing those that want to sign some top players .

People act like there's no middle ground, like if you want to be aggressive & sign 1 or 2 high level players they start saying you want to be Dan Snyder & irresponsibly throw cash around. Then if you e press disappointment sure enough you're gonna get the "the sky is falling" line. Well guess fucking what....the descent has begun, cause there's almost no premier talents left to sign.

I don't care if folks disagree with me, express your opinion on how you feel the team should be built, but stop making fun of others who feel FA is a valuable tool.

Some really good free agents still on the market JRob clearly had a plan and help special teams first.

Agreed there are still some good feee agents out there. But jrob had a plan to open free agency by signing special team players?

Hell no.

I'll respect your opinion but I just don't see anything that has faltered yet. We were never paying a NT 50+ mil and Cooks is still on the street along with Pryor, Ryan and Hightower (and plenty others). Just like last year, Jacksonville is spending silly amounts of money for 6 wins. JRob is from New England and has learned how to build a team that will ascend and consistently improve through the draft. Besides, we're only 6 hours into FA; we'll be fine.

No one wants to be the jags and I never even wanted Williams. I agree there's still plenty of good opportunities out there, but I do believe some initial plans were faltered. The patriots themselves went out and got who they wanted today.

I haven't heard any splash from Green Bay today. Because they build through the draft.

And their own HC has been begging the GM to start using FA more. Rodgers as well. And speaking of Rodgers, he mitigates an awful lot of personnel mistakes....

Jax sucking this year is not a reflection of their FA moves, Malik Jackson was a stud & their defense was excellent by the end of the year. Blake Bortles was terrible, period. But the Malik Jackson signing was a HR.

Actually they floated $60 million today to sign one of their own free agents.

They have also signed big name free agents in the past like Peppers and Woodson.

Sure they're competitive but only one super bowl despite having a hall of fame QB the past decade.

Without Rodgers they'd be a laughing stock.

And how many games did they win last year? Come on Face, like you said it's all about the QB. They can blow all the money they want but they'll continue to be mediocre to craptastic if they don't find a QB.

Can't remember where I saw it, but didn't a post earlier in the day mention Campbell and Bouye were told they would be addressing QB in the draft.

Not sure if it was a legitimate post.

One other thing....let's not be so overconfident about the Jags sucking. We got a good glimpse at the kind of team they have when BB plays well, as they beat the Holy Demon out of us. Just an absolute shit  kicking.

Their D was excellent the last 6 weeks or so, they just added a pro bowl corner & an elite interior pass rusher.
