What the fuck are you talking about? This whole reactionary bullshit is starting to annoy the fuck out of me. Now anyone who expresses anything is a "special snowflake," anyone who doesn't bow down to all things Trump is a "cuck," and anyone who doesn't want to argue with assholes "needs a safe space." GTFO with this. I'm Gen X chief, came up under the threat of nuclear war from Russia, have seen wild swings in the economy, endless war in the Middle East, had an alcoholic abusive dad and brother, borrowed and starved my way through law school, and handle jury trials against defense lawyers that want to rip my nuts off. I don't need safe spaces and am not a special snowflake. I mean I guess you were so intent on using the new conservative mocking catchphrase, you inserted it where it has no relation to anything going on in this thread. Seriously, contribute or GTFO. Some of us are trying to turn negatives into positives. People like you I just want to punch in the neck.

Will await further info as to whether he had an impact here, but certainly willing to give credit if that's what's going on here. Sounds good. Reservign judgment for now, as decisions like this are usually pretty complicated.

Well that is the key here. Should have clarified. This isn't about campaign promoises and stuff that you can get on board with. But that's fine to point that out. The real point here was to point out positive things that are actually happening. I got another one: Sessions for AG is a good move. I like Romney for Sec of State. I think he can pull that off. You guys got your champion. But you have now lost the right to whine and say you are treated unfairly or ignored or are shut out by the elite. You guys got your man. This thread is not for you guys. Feel free to read it though. This thread is for liberals/progressives/never Trumpers who begrudgingly acknowledge good things. What the heck does this mean then? Looks like your squirrelly little attempt to find a nice "safe place"... That's exactly the kind of response I would expect from you..."I want to punch people like you in the neck"...The problem is you point fingers all the time at how condescending Republicans are---you need to start your day by looking in the mirror.... Legaltitan
yeah, welcome to ignore. lol a liberal who hates Trump tries to start a thread to talk about positive things Trump does, and that's still not enough for these Trumpkins. And then he says I need cookies and a safe place, and tell him I want to punch him in the neck, and now he is whining that I am too mean. Now who needs the safe place? God everyday these Trumpkins seem to go out of their way to prove to us they are the assholes we thought they were. Me, I'm trying to turn the page. This is my fucking thread. Trumpkins have started 10 threads the last few days about their hero Trump. Seems like one of those threads would suit them. But Ok Trumpkins, since you guys have the world and that isn't enough, and so I won't hurt your itty feewings, you guys can post in this thread too. But let's keep the thread on point, shall we? If you want to rant and rave about libs and cucks and safe spaces and BS like that, please use one of the other 100 Trump threads.

Trump is taking credit for much more than is true, which he tends to do... I have a feeling this thread is going to require a lot of fact checking... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/11/17/trump-just-took-credit-for-stopping-ford-from-moving-a-plant-to-mexico-but-it-was-planning-to/ We will never know exactly what went on here, but the fact of the matter is the Ford guy did call Trump to discuss this, and obviously has made some sort of change in plans or business strategy in response to Trump becoming President. So did Trump save the Kentucky Ford plant? No, I don't think we can do that. But certainly we can give him credit for an increased Ford commitment to Ameican manufacturing, in a general sense if nothing else. I'll allow it. FINAL RULING Quote “We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States.” And here we are. They don't even have to believe the policies will work....just that they believe he's going to try. Establishment fail.

TitansGuru
It seems like a NAFTA renegotiation will happen. Trudeau has already stated that Canada is willing to do so. The caveat is that Canada is much like the USA in that we both get the short end of the stick in the deal. Still, it's something that wasn't openly being addressed before. TitansGuru
It seems like he may not repeal, but instead might amend, the existing AHA. Lobbyists are glorified bribemen, but they do serve a good purpose. MADD (mothersagainstdrunkdriving) for example is a special interest group that lobbies. The people who donate to them do so with the intention of promoting their ideas to lawmakers. Same with NRA, AARP, etc. Where we get it up the butt is when corporations and super PACs lobby. These people are in it for power and money, not the interests of "constituents" or members. They're working on behalf of shareholders. If Trump alienates himself by not including lobbyists, he may be setting himself up for failure to coalesce. Afterall, lobbyists are lobbyists because they're good at convincing Congress to do things.
