Adam Caplan believes we trade a RB before final roster cuts

Adam Caplan reported on NFL Insiders after spending two days at Titans practice he believes that we will trade a RB before rosters are cut down to 53.

have to assume he had access to talk with Mularkey/JRob during his visit and must of got the impression that there were teams making enquiries.

in a recent interview JRob teased that he wasn't done trading.

given that none of our backup RB's hold much value it would be another DGB like trade where we acquire a player that is likely to be a roster cut at another franchise.

the way Sankey is being limited in pre-season action perhaps he is the one they might be moving on.

There are a lot of teams that are really hurting at RB, Pats, Bills, Skins etc....

Not too familiar with their rosters. Any decent dbs from those teams that would be a fair trade for Sankey?

Other thought: What about trading for Ronald Leary, Cowboys LG. Would be a vet upgrade on Spain. Send them Cobb / Sankey, Justin Hunter + something else to make it happen.

Cowboys are loaded at RB, they need DE/DT.

I thought the Elliott injury was more serious than it was. We do have depth there as well. Ropati perhaps? Klug perhaps, but we would use him inside as dime rusher.

no one is taking on Ropati's contract, he will be cut soon enough.

haven't really heard anything about Klug this offseason, everyone just seems to assume he makes the final cut, don't think he has any trade value anyway.

the only reason someone like Sankey has any value is one of the RB needy teams would fear missing him on waivers and would be willing just to trade one of their own castoffs to secure him.

Miami might be starting Isaiah Pead at the minute. Arguably every Titans RB would be an upgrade on him

He's actually been getting all kinds of praise

If they did trade one of the RBs it would have to be for peanuts

I guess if they love Herny starting there would be the long shot of trading Murray but then they would have to love the back-up guys and that seems unlikely. I'd have to believe they would want Murray and Henry both

agree, for Sankey/Cobb/Andrews we would only be able to get a player who was going to be cut from his team anyway.

I think JRob would give up any of the above 3 if he could get a depth player at either OL or CB, similar to the DGB/Kelly trade.

Lots of hints on Sirius that  the Redskins are looking hard for a RB.. also have to think Sankey would fit as a Patriot, and besides the obvious link to JRob, New England is trying to get one more ring for Brady..

I don't doubt that a trade is probably in the works...but we're talking about trading a #4-5 RB for a #4-5 player at another position....DB, LB, OL,  whatever.

It's pretty much guaranteed that the result won't be nearly as interesting or entertaining as all the rumor and speculation.
