CaliTitan3518
Being down 2-0 Preds made it a good series but the odds were always against them. I spoke with Wayne Gretzky a few months ago and he told me Sharks were going to win the Stanley cup. Now he was drunk as hell so I thought he was just BSing me but maybe he was right. Sharks have found a way to collapse year after year so Im far from confident heading into the conference finals. Great series from the Predators. Hopefully some of that support from the fans rolls over to the football season.
NoD
No one picked this team to win a series at all or to proceed to take the Sharks to the brink in round 2. It’s always disappointing to come so close to the WCF to fall just short, but my expectations for this team were exceeded in the playoffs.
Guest
The Preds just looked done right from the start. After those 2 huge wins in OT they were just flat and gassed. I went to bed when Couture made it 3-0 and it was obviously all over. Nice run though. I don't like the Pred's style of play but Thornton and the other bozo with the beard were pretty hard to root for. I can't stand Joe Thornton the choker whiner. I hate Couture too. Yeah, they just looked gassed from all the travel and lack of rest between games. The Preds had the most travel and the least rest between games of any team left in the playoffs I believe. Particularly a guy like Shea Weber, who is getting a little older and plays a really physical style while playing a lot of minutes. It has to take its toll eventually. Guest
You guys are getting totally screwed having to play in the western conference and all the travel that goes with it.

For a 7 game series, I don't know if it matters that much but over the course of the year I'm sure it does
Guest
They have thew worst rtravel ached in the league and it takes it's toll for sure. Yes both teams deal with it in the series but the Preds deal with it all year. The Leafs used to be in the same boat. It was brutal.

For sure, just like the idea of an overseas NFL team is ridiculous. They'd have an amazing home-field advantage but an absolutely atrocious disadvantage for literally half their games
freakingeek
They looked as tired as they were the last game they played in San Jose. 20,000 miles of travel and a game every other day is just fucking ridiculous. Weber and the defense definitely looked tired. They lost most of the battles for the puck along the boards. That's where they excel. I think this is the Blues year for the cup. That said the Preds made it a good series. There were 27 other teams watching it on TV. I'm ready to get some rest myself. I'm tired too. Getting home at 3:00 in the morning on a work day was brutal. wiscotitansfan
Didn't Sharks clean up on the Kings the series before? That's the thing that I am so astounded by a few years ago when LA beat NYR for the cup. I'm pretty sure a combined 2 series didn't go to game 7 for both teams and one of those two went to game six... Along with a third of the games going to OT it seemed.
