freakingeek
I'd say there's more parity in the playoffs this year than we've had in a long time. All very even matchups in head to head games. I like the Preds chances but the Ducks were the tougher draw between Anahem and LA strictly from a momentum perspective. Time to get down and dirty. It's going to be a great Stanley Cup battle. wiscotitansfan
I wish you guys got the Blackhawks. Fuck them. Go Rangers!
freakingeek
Tight game, well played by both teams. When the Ducks tied it up at 2-2, the Preds answered by picking up the intensity. I thought they outplayed the Ducks in the 3rd. There's a lot of hockey left to play but game one goes to the Preds.
freakingeek
2-0 and heading back home. I like it. Physical game last night. Ducks tried all kinds of after the whistle intimidation tactics and the Preds didn't bite. 6 penalties and one power play goal later and the Preds skate off with a W. oldschool
Fatman's team choking in the playoffs against inferior competition again. Who didn't see that coming?
SuperFreak90
Feels great to have the hometown team up 2-0, now they need to finish the job at home.

Yep. If we can ride that momentum to a win tonight, the arena will be totally out of control on Thursday.

Who didn't see that coming? People underestimate the Preds because of the early season slump but I believe they can play with anyone right now. The defense is stifling and our offense is finding the net.
freakingeek
Ugh! Ducks came to play and we didn't. The Preds looked tired. One of the few times I've heard the home crowd boo the Pred's effort. They had better get their house in order before Thursday or we lose home ice. freakingeek
It ain't over till it's over. I know I'm basically talking to myself but Preds played an outstanding game last night at Bridgestone and earned that game seven Weds. night. Rinne was clutch down the stretch and the home crowd was fantastic. In Gold we trust! Blues put the Hawks down and earned the right to play the Stars. THAT should be a helluva series. NashvilleNinja
Great job by the Preds shutting it out. Moving right along.
Mercalius
finally being able to breathe after three hours is nice. Huge win. No one in the media picked us. Those last ten minutes aged me ten years.
freakingeek
And then there were 4. I was standing in front of my TV yelling at the top of my lungs at 11:30 pm last night. I'm sure my neighbors were wondering WTF is going on? The Preds got their swagger back just in time. After the 3 straight losses I figured we were toast. I was wrong. Defense trumped offense in this series and Pekka stood tall. Time for a fishing trip.

It's its the latter, they are morons for not knowing Fatman's history coaching teams in game 7's at home. I knew the Preds were a lock to win game 7 as soon as they won game 6. Guest
You guys aren't going to like what i am going to say here but it's the truth. There is something very exciting going on right now in that 3 of the highest scoring widest open playing teams in the league are still in the hunt i.e.: Washington, Pitttsburgh and Dallas. For this reason I am very much rooting for Caps-Stars final...the 2 highest scoring teams in the league. The Preds, unfortunately, are the antithesis of this style. One man up and barley forechecking at that, 4 guys back. Clogging up the neutral zone. That "power play" the other night where they diid not even try to play offensively? That is just bad for hockey. That should be a 5 minute penalty for wasting our fucking time. This isn't supposed to be soccer. That is why the game isn't what it used to be. That was garbage and I hope they get eliminated and we see teams loading up on offence and playing aggressively like the Stars and Caps do.
