My initial comment was outside of a handful of plays, receivers weren't flying open all over the place. NOTHING I've said since then has contradicted that. Let's review a few points: 1) Receivers flying all over the place implies throughout the whole game, receivers were open and Cam missed them. I like how you idiots show 3 plays and pass that off as "Receivers flying all over the place". Then you hope that people will forget that these 3 plays represent 3/75 (or 1/25 for you guys who dont do math) of the plays ran. This is like saying Macy's is killing and there were customers flying all over that store because you saw 3 customers in there 2) Receivers flying all over the place implies more than one receiver is open and Cam missed them. What was said is that they had WRs that were open multiple times and they either failed to make the catch or Newton flat out missed them. How many times do I have to explain this to you? OILERMAN Posted February 14, 2016 Report Share Posted February 14, 2016 I heard some interesting things about the breakdown of the all 22. When the Panthers went to 3 WRs the Broncos stayed in their base 3-4 defense. Their only sub was taking out their SS and putting in a CB to replace him. They had no respect for Newton's passing ability at all. The Panthers also led the league this season in 7 man protections because they ran the ball so much and were in such good down and distance situations. In the SB they did so badly on 1st down they had to pass from known passing situations with those terrible OTs against the best pair of edge rushers in the league. I think its more that they didn't respect Carolinas wrs (who would have a hard time even making this titans roster) than they didn't respect cam as a passer. They didn't need anything extra because their corners are some of the best coverage guys in the league. They flatout dared Cam to beat them with his arm and he failed in glorious fashion.
