People have said he is just out to boost his celebrity image. I think we can now throw that out the window pretty forcefully. He is finished with the entertainment industry, except for anything he finances himself. He will be totally rejected by folks in Entertainment biz. The Trump as celebrity brand has taken a huge hit. Most seem to agree he doesn't actually want to be President. He certainly doesn't seem interested in the nuances of policy or anything like that. I think with him going full Trump he is working for Hillary. Maybe not even with her knowledge and consent, but just he wants to ensure she is elected. Trump is alienating the middle, exposing the rest of the Republican candidates for the lightweights that they are, making them trip all over their own dicks when it comes to responding. He has all but taken out Jeb, the establishment nominee, singlehandedly, and has done significant damage to Rubio. Any establishment guy that emerges now will be severely damaged. And if they don't get it, it will be Cruz who would lose in an absolute landslide. I am pretty sure it is impossible to win the Presidency when you are hated by Democrats, independents, moderates and the establishment of your own party. Trump is not stupid. And he has lived his entire life as a moderate to liberal atheist guy who is singularly focused on making money and building his business empire. Look at his family, wives, daughters - they are total mainstream country club elite types, and most likely lean moderate to liberal. Nothing about Trump and his life gives any indication he really holds all of these views. Of course everyone knows he was friends with and a supporter of the Clintons in the past. Add it all up, and the most logical conclusion I can come to is he is trolling the country, but mostly the far right and the Republican candidates to expose them all for what they are, all in an effort to ensure the election of Hillary Clinton. No one goes from being the kind of guy Trump has been to a fascist demagogue over night without a reason. Think back to the birther thing. That blew up in his face, predictably. He has always been a wild eyed risk taker in terms of his business and personal style. If all he would have done is invest the money his father left him in the stock market he would be richer than he is today. That would have been practical. Instead he decided to build some of the most opulent architecture the world has ever seen and went broke doing it once based mostly on his need to feed his ego. Trump attacks Hillary all the time. And Hillary has called out his comments as being disgusting. There's no way he would do that on purpose. He is single handedly destroying his public image. He would never do that just to help Hillary become president. I can't tell anymore if he is just playing to his base or if he is sincerely being who he is, or where that dividing line is. It has only worked great to this point! And we have been wondering...are their no lines anymore? Is there not anything this carnival barker can say that will hurt him? This is it. I think we finally found it. The line was "we're not going to let muslims into the country"....I think he finally said something nutty enough that it went over the line. I sure as hell hope so. I also think the Presidency thing is ego based as well. He's in his mid 60's & starting to think about his legacy. Being a super rich guy who became President trumps (no pun intended) being a super rich guy. Most things really are as straightforward as they appear. First and foremast Trump needs to concern himself with his BRAND which has an international and massive scope. There is a movement in Toronto right now to take his name off his sky scraper. The Trump brand is being dragged trough the mud. This isn't looking long term smart for him at this point. Honestly I don't truly believe he is working to get Hillary Clinton elected but nothing else makes much sense. But you and CTF are convincing me.
