Stranger
http://www.wired.com/2015/08/happened-hackers-posted-stolen-ashley-madison-data/ HACKERS WHO STOLE sensitive customer information from the cheating site AshleyMadison.com appear to have made good on their threat to post the data online. A data dump, 9.7 gigabytes in size, was posted on Tuesday to the dark web using an Onion address accessible only through the Tor browser. The files appear to include account details and log-ins for some 32 million users of the social networking site, touted as the premier site for married individuals seeking partners for affairs. Seven years worth of credit card and other payment transaction details are also part of the dump, going back to 2008. Check and see if your email or your significant other's email accounts are compromised. http://www.trustify.info/check It's also possible your email account may be on the list even if you never made an account yourself. Apparently the dating site didn't require users to confirm their email addresses so if some one knew your email, they could've signed up with it. How many of you are going to fess up? Starkiller
I read a headline that Josh Duggar had an account. I guess he didn't need that until his sisters started locking their doors at night...

Jamalisms
I read he had two accounts and paid for a guaranteed affair. This site getting hacked is simply karma for people.
Stranger
I read he had two accounts and laid for a guaranteed affair. This site getting hacked is simply karma for people. I read a meme yesterday that said something to the effect of there are 38 million cheaters on AshleyMadison.com, but gay marriage is ruining the sanctity of traditional marriage. abenjami
Here's what I don't understand, and I admit I have not really looked into this. If all this info is only on the dark web (whatever the fuck that is) and it's only accessible using an obscure browser 99.999% of us have never heard of, how many people are really going to get busted? I mean, i'm pretty damn sure I have never dated any girls who know where to even look for this stuff.
Starkiller
The media will expose anyone famous they can tie to an account. As for non-famous people, probably they won't get exposed unless a spouse goes looking.
abenjami
As for non-famous people, probably they won't get exposed unless a spouse goes looking. Yeah but how many spouses would actually be able to locate the dark web, download and install some obscure browser, and navigate all the data? My guess is a very small percentage and there isn't going to be some monumental divorce rate as the media claims.
oldschool
Simple answer. Someone will download the data, write a simple search engine, and post the data on a publicly hosted site. I promise you multiple people are actively working on it now.
freakingeek
A marriage is a lifetime commitment and a man is only as good as his word. The only way I would condone cheating on your spouse is if both parties knew it and both parties accepted it and agreed about that arrangement. Then it wouldn't be cheating. But for those people I ask what's the point of being married? If your marriage is that bad, get a divorce and then screw around as much as you want. There are searchable, "mainstream" non-deep websites with the data where you can basically type in a person's name or email address and see if they are on the list. The data dump was MASSIVE. We are just now starting to see it find it's way into more public venues--I'm guessing a lot of the super secure info will stay on the deep web--the names of cheaters however will become fappening level public. The Dark Web, or The Deep Web is a place that most people probably want to stay away from. It's good that it isn't very accessible. That isn't to say that it's all bad, but the things that are bad, are very, very bad.

You can be sure that PIs and divorce lawyers are going to be all over this data...
