No1TitansFan
Woodson just doesn't seem to get old, he can still do it all, blitz, tackle, play in short zones and man up and play bump and run and stay stride for stride on deep routes. NashvilleNinja
I'll say one thing about the Saints and fantasy football. Colston may... may... be their most talented WR, but I don't see how you rank any one of them over the other when it comes to picking them up for your fantasy team. None of of them are worth more than a flex spot or a BYE week fill-in.
OILERMAN
And in the end, GB stopping the run sealed the victory. Yea last night was the perfect example of how running the ball and stopping the run equals victory in the NFL Very astute, looks like you have the pulse of the NFL down to perfection. Run the ball, stop the run! It's the GB/Saints way
OILERMAN
So what was it an example of? How to play crappy defense, not control the clock and hope in the end you have the football. The Packers basically dominated the game and still came a yard from playing in overtime. This game was a track meet. Nobody could stop anybody. The great Packer defense was damn lucky their QB managed to throw 3 TDs and pass for over 300 yards. While on one hand it was a masterpiece battle between two of the best QBs in the league I didn't see two football teams that would neccesarily beat a team with a great defense. Heck, the lowly Seahawks were able to beat basically the same Saints team last year in the playoffs. Rodgers last game was against the Steelers in the SB, 300yds plus and 3 TDs. I don't think GB is "damn lucky" their QB puts up those kinds of numbers, that's what he does. Do the Steelers have a crappy defense? The Saints and GB will do this to most defenses in this league. These are the last two teams to win the SB with this exact style. This is how it's done in today's NFL. Where have you been and what have you been watching? Check out the SB contenders the last few years, GB, NE, Steelers, Colts, Saints....
Yoshimitsu
I thought the Packers played the run defense well, but their pass defense was the definition of inconsistent. I didn't get to catch the entire game, so that may have changed as the game progressed. Personally, I'm expecting some very sloppy football this weekend. He should have been ejected. What does Lord Goodell do?
Cyrus
The first quarter was a demonstration on how NOT to defend the Packers offense. Too much man coverage, too much single high, too many rushers. Williams eventually figured out that the Packers have too much of a size advantage and that his CBs can't play the ball well in trail position. You have to test elite QBs by disguising zones and moving the safeties around. Crowding the LOS is a bad idea when their WRs can get vertical so quickly.
