Agree 100%. This looks like someone who hasn't watched a second of his film & is just floating out the generic analysis people who don't like Locker give. That's what drives me nuts, sure, there's plenty to criticize & he has a ton of room to improve, but he isn't Tim Tebow.

Most people that throw out opinions are doing it based off of reputation only and haven't watched anything close to enough of any of these players to make informed opinions.

It's no different than when people talk about Tom Brady. He's universally still considered a top 4 QB. Why? Can someone give an actual on field reason rather than "well he has no weapons so his stats will not be as good?" The guy from PFF wrote an article about the fact that Brady was not elite anymore and he got criticized for it heavily. I read through a bunch of the comments from fans and not one of them referenced an actual football reason. "Well his teams win." "He had no weapons." "He always comes through in the clutch (complete fabrication)."

"Tony Romo's a choker." Really? Someone needs to provide a football reason for that.

About 99% of opinions about athletes in general are based solely on reputation and nothing else.

How about 8 seasons as the starting QB and only 1 playoff win (vs. 3 losses)?

How about when he fumbled the snap?  That's about as choke as you can get.

Wow.

Hadn't read this before.  This "analysis" is garbage.

Locker has his faults, and I'm not his biggest supporter, but this is how ignorance spreads.  You say stupid shit long enough and it becomes accepted as truth.

Locker's accuracy issues are horribly overstated.  He still struggles with anticipation, but when feet are set and he trusts his reads he's great.  Footwork year over year improved tremendously.

I don't mind informed dissent about a player.  It leads to great discussion.  But, at least be informed.  Put in the time.  Watch the tape.  This type of analysis doesn't show up from someone who's bothered to do that.  Instead, he's clearly just done a cursory look, and fallen inline with the rest of the groupthink.

It doesn't take a lot of time to watch Locker's tape since he only plays in 56% of the games.

It takes even less time for me to determine that this guy hasn't watched enough to have an informed opinion.

Well that certainly tells us all something about the lack of effort you put into making your determinations.

It's always the QB's fault of course.

Right.  As if Romo hasn't been absolutely surrounded by talent all these years.

Whose fault was it on that fumble anyway?

Romo's a phenomenal QB playing for an ass backwards organization, why JJ fired Rob Ryan for Monte Kiffin I'll never know. That said, at some point you have to win a few playoff games.

Locker def has accuracy issues. He'll make wild throws way off the mark way too often. He hasn't been healthy for a long enough stretch to really make me feel like he's corrected this issue. Obviously these problems go all the way back through college.

The other huge problem Locker has is his pocket presence. He has no feel for the rush and doesn't know when to run or throw.

I think his injury problems have actually covered up these flaws somewhat.

Spot on about the pocket presence & Ive mentioned this a few times, similar to VY though not as bad he takes too long to pull the trigger on run or pass & gets caught in the middle. I've seen him miss quite a few potential big runs by hesitating.
