Guest Posted June 10, 2014 Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 Charles and McCoy are 1A and 1B, especially in leagues that offer .5 or 1 per reception. A case can be made for Peterson with a better QB if you think Bridge will be that guy. If nothing else, McCoy is in a better system with a more established team, so at this point he's my pick. I like Forte at 4. Beyond that is any one's guess. Lacy? Lynch? Calvin? A lot probably depends on your scoring system. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

They put up similar rushing numbers and Jamaal got 50 more receptions for almost 600 more receiving yards if I am correct off the top of my head. Highly unlikely. But he's about as safe as it gets given his position and consistency. McCoy? Yeah, he was a "lock" two years ago when he shit the bed. Charles? How often does a top 3 RB back that up with another top 3 season right afterwards? Almost never. Didn't you learn anything from drafting Ray Rice last year? Last year I got Romo and Rivers in the 8th and 15th. They both scored in the top 5 I think. It's not tough at all to get a consistent QB late but the odds of even finding a good RB past the 3rd is damn near impossible. abenjami Posted June 30, 2014 Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 For years it made sense to take the top RB's over the top QB's because of the lack of depth and drop off in value at their respective positions. That still makes a lot of sense today for the most part but you can't just ignore how many more points Peyton put up last year (and how many he will likely put up again this year). Peyton scored more fantasy points last year than AP and McCoy combined. You'd be better off with Peyton and whatever RB you could get in the 2nd round. And even using points differential there was pretty big drop off between him and other QBs last season. I would take Manning, Brees, and Rodgers over any running back at this point. He was the difference maker as I won that league. I agree that I don't expect a repeat, though, from him. Since, as defending champion, I have to pick 12th, I wouldn't have an opportunity to pick him anyway. With #12, I will focus on any of the remaining big 4 QBs, top RBs and WRs, and maybe even TE, if Graham is available and has his contract situation worked out.
