Omar
I'm pretty optimistic that a deal will get done tomorrow. Despite what some posters think, it's clear that Reinfeldt and CJ's agent have been exchanging figures. I agree...I don't think CJ and his agent would both be coming in for nothing. mctitan53
According to Jim Wyatt, the meeting is already over and they are still at a stalemate... the holdout continues.
FightinTitan
CJ coming in was a calculated PR move. It was clear that CJ was losing the PR war.
Omar
There has to be more to this...you mean CJ and his agent came all the way to Nashville only to be told what they already knew? This could have been done over the phone

Number9
I am still of the opinion that CJ will be signed to a new contract before week's end.
Jonboy
According to Jim Wyatt, the meeting is already over and they are still at a stalemate... the holdout continues. Thats a little misleading. Here are the exact tweets. “@jwyattsports: Looks like meeting between the #Titans and Chris Johnson is already over. Johnson and his agent at downtown restaurant, not with #Titans” “@jwyattsports: Meeting between #Titans and Johnson was scheduled for this morning.” “@jwyattsports: The two sides headed into the meeting far apart in contract talks. Look for the stalemate to continue #Titans” Wyatt clearly hasn't heard how the meeting went yet. He's just giving you his best guess. I think the real indicator will be whether CJ stays in Nashville or goes back to Orlando.
CMJ
If he heads back to Orlando, I am officially done with CJ. The team should just move on with Ringer and not let that bastard become VY's replacement as the team distraction.

Jonboy
Lol @ Reinfeldt. So I'm wondering what they sat and talked about? Further conversations are always good though. If CJ stays in town then he's probably confident they will get it done soon.
Cyrus
Reinfeldt: “We had a meeting today with myself, Vin Marino [Titans VP Football Administration], Chris Johnson and Joel Segal. It was important for us to have a face-to-face meeting so that everyone could have a voice and understand the perspective of the other side. I’m not sure there was any progress made, but I do think it was beneficial to meet. We were able to discuss several different elements of a potential contract, but there was no agreement on those topics. “I do expect to have another conversation with Joel in the next day or so to discuss things further.”

I agree..the team seems to finally have a good thing going with chemistry, the last thing they need is a distraction like this. Make him a final offer and let him decide..if he wants to sit out a year and miss out on whatever offer the team is giving him..that is his choice. Has the team started the 30k a day fines yet? That needs to start asap
