JungleKicker
I hate to bring it down to one play, but it's just a fact. If the horrible late-hit call on the go-ahead touchdown isn't made, then the Chiefs have to punt it on what should have been a 4th and 2. Instead, it gives them 15 key yards and they score five or so plays later. That was one of the worst late-hit calls I've ever seen. And at the time, the Chiefs looked in serious trouble. This isn't to say we couldn't have overcame that call. We could have, but didn't. An equally huge play was Britt's inability to catch the third down throw on the drive before. You have to make that catch. Britt is just way too inconsistent.
oldschool
I'm sorry but this is nonsense. The defense still failed to stop them the rest of the drive and then the offense had multiple chances to win the game afterwards.
TheChosenTitan
That is not nonsense, its obvious. That ruine the game for us and changed momentum
oldschool
That is not nonsense, its obvious. That ruine the game for us and changed momentum Don't be so emotional. They had chances to overcome it and didn't.
JungleKicker
That is not nonsense, its obvious. That ruine the game for us and changed momentum Thanks for backing me up here. I think it's obvious as well. The Chief hadn't done shit the entire second half. We had all the momentum. It's rare you see a single play shift a game like that one did. CMJ
I agree with the OP. Plenty of earlier mistakes, but that horeshit call changed the game quick.
Guest
Both are correct. We could have done numerous things differently. How about not giving up 7 on a fluke play? Still though, a call like that is demoralizing, and it's true that the Chiefs having to punt in that situation would have likely altered the outcome of the game drastically. No score there for starters, and we could have run the ball more or used more short throws, rather than Fitz trying to open it up and promptly turning the ball over. It totally affected the outcome of the game, and is a frustrating call because it wasn't even close to being a penalty--it's not like a pass interference or some other call that's easy to screw up. Titanstattoo25
I agree we probably would have won. I also think we win if we don't get stuffed 4 straight times, or the punt TD doesn't happen, or if Britt is inactive I think we win.
heyitsmeallen
I'm sure the nfl will come out next week saying that penalty shouldn't have been called
scine09
What did you all think of the phantom pass interference on KC?
Jamalisms
I'm with Bink. It alone probably changed the outcome but plenty else went wrong so I isn't just that call.
heyitsmeallen
The play changed the entire gameit really did. The atmosphere in the stadium completely changed. That wasn't even close to a penalty. If he didn't try I hit smith they would have gotten the first down.
JungleKicker
What did you all think of the phantom pass interference on KC? Which phantom pass interference?
Stan
Nobody to blame but special teams you don't give up points when you have 2 good defenses had we not given up 7 early titans are up 17
scine09
Which phantom pass interference? The one that was on the 3rd down on the drive where the Titans took the lead. If that call wasn't made (it was a horrible call) then the Titans would have merely tied the game. This thread is silly. The refs made bad calls on both sides.
