Titans high on Jack Doyle

The fact that Doyle is getting first team reps is a pretty solid sign they're high on him. If he shows anything in preseason, it would make tons of sense to keep him and not risk letting him get claimed before trying to get him to hit the PS.

Walkers got a bum leg. Stevens has a concussion history and Thompson hasn't proven anything in the passing game. Wouldn't be shocked at all if Doyle made the team.

What does Parmalee offer? Let's hear it.

I think he and Battle are pretty even in terms of ability, but Parmalee is thought to be a better receiver and the fact he is a good special teams player I think gives him the edge.  I like Battle but to me he is too much like Green.  At the end of the day, we are talking 3rd string.

If Greene gets hurt, who is a better short yardage runner? Between the tackles, punish the defense type of back? Remember one of the biggest issues the Titans had was being unable to convert on 2nd/3rd and short?

Drafting a starter at guard, potential starter at center and throwing a ton of cash at Levitre has almost as to do with fixing the physicalty of the team as getting a proven back to slug it out between the tackles.

Battle is the more proven of the two.

Yup, I think Parmale makes it. Offers return value and Croom knows him well.

If the team wants to keep Doyle, then it makes sense to either not play him or don't target him in the passing game. What's the reason to show the rest of the league that he's got potential?

Ruston was on the radio the other day talking about how he doesn't believe in hiding players in preseason and would rather just play them in order to get a true and thorough evaluation and then have to make tough decisions.

Maybe he believes that.

OTOH, he really can't come right and admit he wants to hide players because the difference in a roster spot and a PS spot is about 200K and that would surely alienate a player who thought he wasn't getting a fair shot.

Parmele has shown me nothing.

Battle will plow you over, and take your spot it seems to me.

Reynaud looked awful as a option RB. He shows me nothing but return skills.

Mariani would be better option as WR and PR/KR option. imo more to offer than Reynaud
