Logic would suggest the guy with the busted nose and multiple cuts on the back of his head was not the one winning the fight. Other than the fatal shot, there was not a single injury on Travon's body. Why would a guy beating the shit out of someone else need to call for help?

You mean the self inflicted wounds he used to cover up his murder?

Florida baby! Sorry you guys, but regardless of what side you're on, there simply wasn't enough to find him guilty. It was a poor trial by both sides, poor witnesses, etc. As soon as the news of the incident broke I knew he was off scott free.

Interesting. Ultimately the Prosecution failed to dispel the notion that Zimmerman's life wasn't in danger. That coupled with Florida's ridiculously worded manslaughter code got him off.

@Mercalius, the jury being all women should have been a positive for the prosecution because they are more emotional.

Zimmerman got off because the jury most likely wanted Zimmerman to serve no more then 10years in prison, but Florida's manslaughter with WEAPON in my opinion can actually be worse then 2nd degree. carrying a minimum plus the Judge could tack on 30 years. Again our own laws got Zimmerman off, if they could have decided his charge and sentence length instead of the judge he would be in jail now.

I really do think it was Zimmerman screaming for help and I honestly believe Martin was kicking Zimmerman's ass.

Ironically this is probably what saved Zimmerman in court.

Forget about the burden of proof and the legal requirements on the prosecution.....

We know Zimmerman was a wanna be cop who was patrolling the neighborhood, went way overboard when he saw a black male walking by. He started calling him names without knowing a thing about him. He followed him and confronted him and by his own story got the shit beat out of him by Martin. Had Zimmerman not been such a big pussy he likely wouldn't have even had to draw his weapon and certainly wouldn't have had to kill Martin. This made it very hard to convict Zimmerman. The prosecution could not overcome the fact that Martin likely was beating Zimmerman, justifiably so in my opinion. I think Zimmerman wanted badly to be a bad ass but in the end he was the total opposite and when he actually confronted Martin things went very badly for him.

I personally believe Zimmerman killed Martin and it was totally uncalled for. But after seeing all the evidence and hearing the testimony I cannot really say the jury got it wrong under the direction of the court.

Poor Oilerman and Nines, who damned Zimmerman from the beginning without knowing any facts.  Of couse we also now know how gullible they are to fall for the liberal biased media in their bs reporting on the case.    As Nines stated earlier, the jury knew more than we knew, and they found Zimmerman not guilty.    If you were capable of taking your biased blinders off, you would see there was plenty of reasonable doubt.    It was very plausable that Martin came up from behind, jumped Zimmerman, and was beating his head against the cement ground.   Was Zimmerman just some innocent bystander...of course not.    Is it possible that he really did commit manslaughter...absolutely.   But under the law we are considered innocent until proven guilty, and there is nothing that proved Zimmerman guilty, and 6 jurors unanimously agreed.

Fla. mom gets 20 years for firing warning shots

This is one of the cases used to set the precedent that simply being in an altercation is not enough of a reason to use lethal force. Florida has a serious problem on their hands if they don't revamp some of these laws.

What a shitty time we live in.

That's right.   We have a liberal media that lies about the case and gets away with it.   Now Zimmerman will have to go into hiding because of all the bs the media through out in hte beginning.

Regardless of the outcome of the verdict whatever happens to him is because of his own doing

Giving the loser in any fight the same right to deadly force as a person in their home is absurd and defeats all notion of common sense.
