I thought he'd be a nice sleeper because his college play was good. He lacked great measurables, but I was hoping he was just a ball player out there. Oh well. We are moving on, and rightly so. Solomon intrigues me because he showed pass rush ability in college and he is pretty athletic for his size. We are bringing in a lot of LBs. I wonder if we might eventually transition to a 3-4. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of our LBs rushing this year, though we already have done some of that. It just seems odd to move Solomon when we are already pretty thin at DE. He played 13 games last year, I think the max allowed for someone to be eligible for the PS is 8 games, so I think you're right. I'm sure there will be better options available than Solomon anyway. Bobo Posted July 4, 2013 Report Share Posted July 4, 2013 He didn't look too good last year. He looked slow to react a lot, and mostly locked down when OT's got their hands on him. I'm curious to see this position transition, and he may not have much competition if they are looking for a bigger guy to hold the edge. I think Wimbley and Morgan are the only two that have any real proven ability, and Wimbley doesn't seem to be a great fit for our scheme. Maybe he'll improve this year though.
