He looks more relaxed than ever lol

Damn that is some interesting stuff about CAA and the deals that a lot of those players have since gotten from this organization.

This article sticks out more now. https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/platform/amp/2022/7/4/23193502/titans-general-manager-jon-robinson-belittles-analytics Regardless if he were to become the GM or not, hopefully the expend some more resources under Stretch to bolster the a analytics department. This article went out yesterday as well funny enough: “Which NFL team is the least analytically advanced? Tennessee Titans (7), Washington Commanders(5), Chicago Bears (2), New Orleans Saints (2), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2), Detroit Lions (1), Pittsburgh Steelers (1) One voter abstained. In this category, staffers often vote based on what they don't hear. "I don't know much about [the Commanders and Titans]," one staffer said. Which is sort of the point -- analytics staffers often know each other and talk, the same way coaches know coaches and scouts know scouts. That Tennessee and Washington have small analytics groups -- just one staffer each, to the best of my knowledge -- and their work isn't well known to their peers is a negative indicator. It doesn't rule out heavier quantitative involvement that isn't known to the outside, but when asked which teams are further behind from a data-analysis standpoint, those two teams are consistently brought up.” Pretty telling.

A lot to like about Jake Haener. Don’t think he quite goes round 1 but his game is very similar to another Fresno State QB in Derek Carr.
-
Well the draft just got a whole hell of a lot more interesting now. Throw out any perceptions or triggers on how and what we looked for. Would assume we draft at least one Ohio State player lol
-
Again, I mentioned it in the off-season, these two haven't necessarily been on the same page for awhile now.
-
With 4 years of pay in his pocket, I imagine he takes some time away from the game and spends time with the family now.

If you have ever seen Game of Thrones, Streicher would be Little Finger!

Okay...wow what a day. Stunning news to say the least. Took the time to read the thread and get caught up. I think everyone has touched on one thing or another, but this is definitely an interesting move. It does seem like some sort of power play happened. Looking at it: - Vrabel saying AJB would never be traded as long as he would be coach and then getting traded by Jrob - Vrabel's reaction on draft night after the trade - The whole back and forth after the Brown trade - Vrabel's recent "who" would you throw it to comments stuck out - The Simmons article comes out - The OSU Vrabel article comes out - AJB kills us All that gave Vrabel the ammo needed to succeed. I definitely think Vrabel saw the roster for what it was. It was frustrating and definitely makes his job and the coaches job harder when there is a clear lack of talent. It will be interesting to see what/if anything else comes out from Robinson's sources about the situation, but the AJB trade was the final nail, in addition to the lack of depth at OL and WR. As many mentioned there were misses in free agency and the draft and Robinson failed to take us to that upper echelon of NFL teams. We were fringe and almost there, but this off-season and the resulting on-field product leaves a lot to be desired. I mentioned last off-season, even before the AJB trade that it seemed like Robinson and Vrabel were not as quite on the same page as they once were. Something seemed off. I mean, we call now rest assured AAS is serious about this time and getting us to the promise land. How we move forward now with Vrabel and his larger fingerprints on the overall roster will say a lot in the coming months and years. I think we can look back at some things: Whisenhunt eventually got fired for his mishandling of the OL and failing to protect Mariota. The same thing is happening with Robinson now, only he is the GM and not the head coach. People are being held responsible, which is good to see. We thought it might be players getting benched or the OC getting canned, but it starts up top. We were failing there and the Eagles game plainly showed that. I will always be fond of Robinson because of how he took us from NFL to being a consistent winner (and we all as fans drastically need that), but like how we moved on from Mularkey to Vrabel despite success, we need more out of the GM to make us the contender that can consistently compete with the top teams in the league. Hopefully this is the start of something better and a new plan takes fruition in the coming months. Who knows, maybe Daley starting was a Robinson mandate since he traded for him lol. We can all have hope someway right?

I always hated his part of his philosophy with some of our key free agents. He would say they "earned" the right to see what they can get on the open market and then many never even heard back from us. If Davis and Jonnu are cut this off-season, I would have no issues bringing one or both of them back.
-
I Really like Olu Oluwatimi and if they are completely rebuilding the OL he is someone they should consider in the 2nd round if he last that long. He could start at LG if they keep Jones going into next year or put him at C to start.

Yeah I wouldn’t want to be in the 2024 class. It’s going to be loaded.
-
If there was ever a year to have terrible luck and injured and then end up with the #1 overall pick, it would be next year.
-
-
Yeah I wouldn’t mind that pick at all if the best OT, WR, and EDGE are gone. Shoot with Washington, you might even consider having him put 30 lbs and become a legitimate LT lol. He’s that good at blocking .
-
Damn what an idiot lol
-
Johnson got got on this rep.
-
Nearly a perfect player for Vrabel and Robinson’s philosophy .

Was just coming to post this. Mayer is a near perfect player-coach-organizational match for us, but yes Robinson hasn’t jumped into the early TE pick thus far. That being said, if we get far enough that we take ourselves out of contention for many, if not all, of the best OT and EDGE prospects (also assuming they don’t Re-sign Hooper), then I would be fine with them taking Mayer and playing a lot of 12 personnel with Okonkwo. Also wouldn’t have an issue with them drafting Georgia’s Darnell Washington. He will likely not test as well athletically so they could probably get him on Day 2.
