And let me add... if you don't think it hasn't permeated the whole fan base, just watch what happens when tickets go on sale.

Every seat will be sold out through week 17, and PSL's will increase.

By the way... it's May 3rd and we still haven't addressed the pass rush.

abraham can still rush the passer

doesn't really offer anything else. he's strictly a nickel rusher. he won't start and his snaps and will be limited, but he can still pin his ears back and get to the QB

i'm for signing him. idonije too

I want Abraham. We don't need him to do anything else BUT rush the passer.

I could see there being problems with the interviews with Abraham and Idonije.

Jerry Gray to Abraham and Idonije:  I like to run 10 man packages.  How would you feel about having to contend with extra blockers?

Abraham and Idonije: Uhhhhh....

Abraham to Gray: "I have 122 career sacks and I'm probably going to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 10-years or so. You want me to make a few plays for this team or what?"

You are a casual fan who thinks we should sign washed up has beens and when called out for it you say stupid crap like this

Wrong. Elvis Dumervil isn't washed up. Neither is Greg Jennings or Mike Wallace. But when some of us advocated for the Titans getting THOSE guys as opposed to 2nd string d-lineman, most of this board were NOT in favor of doing so out of fear that they might cost more money than we normally spend on talent.  Cheap, tame, mid-level labor was a Jeff Fisher HALLMARK. He wanted players JUST good enough to make the roster so he could feel a big sense of accomplishment by "coaching em up." He loved that shit so much that it's permeated this fan base into thinking that REALLY good players are more of a headache than they're worth...which is how we end up with a guy like Jake Locker. JUST good enough to make a roster in hopes that some savior coach will polish the rust off him.

The very language that many here speak just reeks of this foolish ideology. "He could be had for cheap!" ... "Idonje won't cost as much as Abraham! I mean, he's not as good a pass rusher, but he won't command a big salary!"

THAT, my friend, is indoctrination.

As I said in another thread, your solution to every problem is to sign the most expensive free agent on the market.  It doesn't work like that.

One of the three would have been major. I never advocated us getting ALL THREE. Mother of God, stop grasping for straws that aren't there.

No but you just bitch about all three and more?

I bitch about all 3 because we were not serious about neither of the 3.

Don't let those fluff pieces in the media fool you. If a team is serious about a player and has the cap space, they will get him.

We were serious about Andy Levitre. Not those guys.

We could have had Levitre and 1 of the other 3. We didn't. That tells me the FO wants to beat the Jags in the regular season...and not Baltimore in the post season.

So basically by your idiot logic if they don't sign or attempt to sign the most high profile FAs then the fan base is afraid of talent. You just proved me correct. Casual fan. Then you try to act as if the fan base is wrong because they are disscussing the pros and cons of signing Idonje vs Abraham. Unbelievable.

The fact he wants to sign players who make plays dosen't make him a casual fan. The fact he expects the team to make moves that could improve it to a better record then your own prediction of 6-10 makes him a serious fan. But maybe I've been looking at this the wrong way. You're not a fan at all are you WG53? You're just a bomb thrower. Lobbing insults here and there. You don't care if this team wins or loses do you? That's why you have no real expectations and don't call for any changes. Just complain about the status quo and throw jabs at other posters. Smh.

No, it is the same exact shit the dumbasses on facebook or on the comments on NFL or espn say. It also assumes that these high profile FAs would actually consider us. Just look at Peyton last year. We were never a serious consideration.

The vast majority of my posts are insult free. I only use insults when something stupid is posted. In fact my posts for this week contained none until luvya posted his bullshit. I do care whether we win or lose. Don't call for changes? I do, but I do not call for stupid clueless bullshit like you two do.

Ok. So what you're saying is despite the fact the team didn't sign a Mike Wallace or Dumervil like luvya wanted. But instead Built up the o-line through FA and the draft. Then signed a few middle of the road guys. This team is still no better than 6-10? That means not a single move they made will be worth not one more win in your estimation. But yet you're going to attack him for wanting to sign big names? This makes no sense. Can I guess it's only because you don't believe that his or my desire to sign a big name isn't well thought out? Because (according to you) we haven't thought about scheme or coaching styles that may fit together with these big name players. To you we're just grasping at the guy with the biggest numbers.
