What's funny is compare this season to CJ's 2000 yard season.

CJ rushes for 2000+ yards and sets the NFL record for yards from scrimmage in a single season. He gets 0 MVP votes, while Peyton Manning wins the award throwing for (only) 4,500 yards and 33 td's.

This season, AP rushes for 2000+ yards. Peyton Manning throws for more yards (4,659) and more td's (37) and doesn't win it.

Absolute joke and disgrace.

9 yards from breaking an NFL record and one of less than 10 to ever rush for 2000. His team made the playoffs primarily due to him.

Who deserved it more? The qbs that put up the same stat range every year? Bullshit.

So I guess the fact that he had huge holes to run through all year long had nothing to do with it?

The offensive line always means more than the actual RB.

You saw what happened to Peterson when the OL wasn't blocking well against GB.

And yes, the QB ALWAYS deserves it more than the RB.

That'll never happen.

Yeah, but we'll have this to shove down his throat in response and there's no legitimate comeback. It's not like AP beat out a white guy like Rivers who had a great year. He beat out 4 time MVP, media darling and NFL royalty Peyton freaking Manning.

Itll just be

"except for the time AP did it" from now on
