kyle021
Why not try Griffin at safety??? (wasn't he a CB at Texas?) lol I was being a smartass and Griffin was a Safety at Texas
Hammer
Chung is an interesting thought. I had kind of forgotten about him. Delmas wouldn't bother me a bit. A good safety draft pick would be a huge upgrade to Babs. All that being said, my favorite offseason safety option is William Moore. Lets face it, we're stuck with the frustration that is Michael Griffin. Love the Green Bay writer's description of him. Lacks drive and focus. Still, when paired with a quality running mate, I think Griffin can be quite effective. IMO, William Moore would be a great pick up and be the best available running mate for Griffin. headhunter
Too many decent safeties worth drafting in April so all talk about moving McCourtey to safety or signing a free agent kinda seems pointless.

You do realize that we need to safeties, yeah? You honestly think that this organization is going to draft two starting safeties? That's a big ask. CharrdWood
Because McCourty is a damn good CB even though he's not a shutdown guy. If you are going to upgrade DB then it's Verner who needs to move to NB. As for Safety, you draft one instead of weakening CB unnecessarily. I would have agreed with you regarding McCourty before this season. His play has regressed. Maybe it's not all on him, but, regardless, like the guy from the Wisconsin paper said, even in an ideal team he'd be a #2 at best. He's not irrepalceable at CB and if he *COULD* be an upgrade at FS, what's the harm in trying?
Dmeade-
Everyone keeps acting like it would be such a loss to move McCourty to safety. No one is talking about a permenant move, only over the next two meaningless games as a trial run. The draft and offseason free agency plans are irrelevant. You think Griffin is worth a damn dime? This is the franchise that tagged Bo Scaife...and Michael Griffin...
