oldschool
Bull. You called out "CJ homers." If you agree the OL and other issues are part of it along with CJ, who are these homers so strongly in disagreement with you? The misrepresentation is on your part. Nice try. The idea that CJ doesn't suck is a stance taken by you, Reo, and Titanruss to name a few. You simply want to blame everything else other than CJ for his performance. I'm acknowledging that there are many factors but believe that CJ is still done regardless of them. Now who's misrepresenting?
code
First, the martial arts comment ... swings with a walker and responds with a cane ... maybe my favorite all time post on GoTitans/TitansCentral/Titans Report. Not sure if Jas laughed out loud at it but I certainly did. Well struck. Chef, good point on the CJ comment. No, I was not attempting to say he had a fine game if the face mask call was made. The bar has gotten pretty low. I thought CJ was given a few pretty good opportunities to make big plays and for whatever reasons made ok but nothing special plays out of them. The late game mistake reversed field ... was hard to forgive. Jake bailed him out so I didn't bother to scream about it. Jamal, dead on. I know my frustration is when people choose to ignore the good (or the bad) simply to prove a point they have been associated with over a period of time. I sensed that beginning to happen with Jake and the alleged accuracy issues. Be curious to see if those same arguments begin to be made next week after what likely will be a more typical outing versus a better Houston defense (probably the best in the league). As far the Burleson fumble relative to the Wright fumble. Wright was no doubt the correct call. I thought the Burleson play should have been reviewed. Argumentatively he took the same step, but unlike with Kendall, he didn't seem to have control over the point of the ball. I thought they got both of Calvin Johnson's sideline catch calls correct. And I thought that Ayers earned that roughing the passer call that took the INT off of the board. I thought they missed the Stevens catch ... the ball never touched the ground ... his body possessed it though for a split second his hands did not. They potentially could have called a late hold on the Reynaud kick off return ... looked like a bit of an arm bar by a Titan around the 20 yard line but they were smart not to flag it because it had no real impact on the play. And again I thought they missed a bunch of impeding the receiver calls when the Lions were in man (we never impeded anything as far as the Lions passing game). Off to get my cane sharpened. A rare day when racing Titans Report actually made my day BETTER.
Jamalisms
Uh, you. Do I need to pull the many quotes where I say CJ is a part of the problem, or are you going to quit wasting my time? There is a reason you got "confused" for Oilerman. Your misrepresentation is identical. Repeating it doesn't change reality.
Jamalisms
Btw, that one run wasn't a facemask. He got under CJ's pads by the neck... assuming we are talking about the same play.
cenj
The KVB run in the 4th was awful. I didn't expect him to beat KVB wide -- he was clearly trying to funnel CJ inside. But right there CJ has to threaten wide and get KVB to turn his hips, then cut hard inside of him. There was a huge hole and CJ was completely indecisive, doing the dancing stuff he's gotten blasted about before. He has to make those plays. I don't believe he's incapable of juking KVB -- I'm pretty sure I could juke KVB at this point (the guy is done). But that was one of the most egregious examples of CJ dancing and not being a playmaker. And if CJ truly doesn't have the quickness to make a move on KVB then cut up inside, then he's slower than Lendale in the offseason.

code
Jamal ... slow motion TV replay ... hand found face mask ... turned head ... moved to shoulder pad (inside jersey) ... finished back on mask. Both talking heads saw it ... and Martz commented "head turned all the way into body ... that was a face mask.' Not the main point. Cenj nails it directly above with the CJ/KVB matchup. He could point to the 10 yard gain early in the game where CJ was isolated with a corner, juked right and left .. and then ran squarely into corners chest. No pfffft and gone there. OILERMAN
Yea I said the running game woes were mostly on CJ and I'm still saying it. He's so terrible he's going to make any OL look bad to the untrained eye of the casual homer.

He's so terrible he's going to make any OL look bad to the untrained eye of the casual homer. Yeah, and that statement minimizes the actual issues the OL has to a point that it's disingenuous. It would be like saying "this OL is so bad that any RB would start questioning his blocks and dance, so CJ dancing isn't his fault. He's functional, he's fine." It. Is. Bull. Crap. Oldschool, It's like Jamal's grandmother used to say "If you can't say nothing good about CJ don't say anything at all" I have probably posted CJ has issues, CJ is partly to blame, CJ isn't getting it done... (or any variety thereof) 20 times or more. Your message board bravado and claimstaking not-withstanding, my position is quite clear to anyone with a brain, though in that case I understand your difficulties. Jamalisms
Yeah, welcome aboard my ass. If you had any ability to not exhibit some of the lamest qualities people on the internet at times adopt, you would be capable of so much less ass-hattery.
