This was always a possibility and it did seem like one of those where it would be revealed to be some kind of complicated resolution. I suppose my resistance to this was that it is exceedingly dark. For a show that was so funny, it ended up being so sad. I suppose the Floyd character--who seemed so resilient was (in the end) not. Good show. Bleak tone. I wanted to it be more but turns out Floyd is just a big ol pussy, Clark is a weirdo and the step son is a nut case. Horrible detectives for them to not think of the son until the very end when Clark came clean about the meet up. He was never even mentioned. Only 2 people had access to the 2nd bike. They never thought to question the son? It was like he didnt even exist in the storyline to them. Even the story from the umpire kid was painting the picture that Carol was in the house alone with the lights on at 4am. Of course we are watching the story play out but every hint of the way made it obvious he was going to be somehow involved.
