College football can be more entertaining. It's lower quality football for sure. I would take that bama vs georgia game over any NFL game.

People can enjoy watching sports, despite whatever the level of competition is,  and that doesn't make anyone retarded. What is retarded is your insistence that only your point of view is valid and everyone else is stupid.

Of course NFL games are at a much higher level, but have to more or less agree in full with both of these as to say: What is the point of watching sports?  To be entertained right?  Perhaps to support your team?

 

I'd much rather watch my 14 year old twins in a tennis match than the Wimbledon final. 

 

I know a ton of folks who cheer hard on a Friday night for their HS team even as they flail, against the option of forking over P$L dollars to root for millionaire free agents playing for one 11 figure corporate-based franchise entity vs another.

 

 

I'm not really sure my feelings on the NIL situation.  I grew up watching college kids play 4 years at Vandy and loved seeing the development, the continuity.  The NIL is now really just a way for the dirty bag men money of the past at top schools to be more out in the open - which to me is like legalizing heroin.  However, the fact that college football in particular of all sports was such a joke in terms of revenue it generated for the universities, for the coaches, yet not [legally] for the players... that was always an issue for me.  If there were something like minor league baseball for the NFL, giving 18 year olds a chance to earn money right away, I'd be better with it.  As it stands, I guess it is more fair, more honest and open. just miss "the way it used to be."  Getting older I guess.  Hopefully not stuck in the mud of the past though.
