You supposedly have to have special permission to browse through the library. I think we can walk around more freely in the Strahov library which may be connected? I am trying to go to the national one tomorrow and hopefully a walk through. The ones today you are only allowed to see through the door. But still very beautiful. At the time, there was a place called Lokal that was some of the best Czech food we had. Otherwise we just walked around the old town and hillsides while drinking a ton of beer. Zvonice in the clocktower was romantic and the kind of spot I wish Nashville had more of (ornate/cozy/hygge).
