I know this is the wrong forum, but this Pens/Flyers game is ridiculous

Flyers are up 4-2

Three players have already been ejected from the game.

Asham will probably get suspended multiple games for a brutal crosscheck to Schenn's adam's apple.

70+ penalty minutes issued in the first period alone, and the first period lasted 30 minutes longer than typical due to all the fighting/penalties.

Anyone bored today needs to be watching this game, even if you're not that big on hockey - it's ridiculous, and definitely look up the highlights from the first period. I'm not a fan of either team, but this game is easily the best I've seen this season.

Pens are desperate. They are in deep sh*t if they lose this one. Preds needed this game today to get home ice back. The defense and Rinne pulled out a grinder. Great hockey on right now.

A person not having any understanding of the game other than what they may have picked up from a Mighty Ducks movie.

If you put in about an hour to research it, you'll know enough of the basics to keep up with it, and trust me, if you haven't been to a Preds game, especially during the playoffs, you're missing out. We're like a top 5 arena with our energy and atmosphere at Bridgestone. I've never known a person who went to a live game and didn't come out a huge fan.

I hated Hockey for years.. never understood it.. THEN I was given tickets to a minor league team in FLA that the arena was right up the road form me.. Sat next to some hardcore hockey guys and I have never looked at the game the same agian.. Hockey is great once you get it.. I wish the NFL would allow players to police each other like Hockey has done.. Rules were meant to be broken, but if your gonna get your ass kicked for doing it you may think twice.. lol

If you can go to a Preds game do it.. Wonderful experience..

One of the first things newcomers have a hard time understanding is how in the hell can you have a "roughing" penalty. It seems pretty ridiculous to the casual observer. The main object of the game seems to be roughing. But as VCT said, once you get icing and offsides, the rest is easy. I tell people the rules about offense are a lot like soccer. That Flyers Pens game was crazy. VCT, what's up with the 'nucks? You guys better come out on fire tonight. The Kings played Nashville tough every game this year. They match up with us very well. I'd rather not have to play them in the playoffs.
