reo Posted March 19, 2020 Report Share Posted March 19, 2020 Butler and Jackson are fine. If Jackson passes Butler and becomes the #1, I'm fairly confident Butler can still lock down a #2 WR. We've drafted nickel corners in back to back years. I'd think they'd go w/ one of them as the slot guy but I wouldn't be upset w/ drafting a corner high. Number9 Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 We'll have the depth problems until we get some consistency in the coaching staff. Every year there's too much change. JRob is the only one who has been around for any length of time, Look how many HC, DC and OC the team has had in the last five years. It's taking time to get the right guys running the team. The constant change has drawbacks because everybody is always trying to learn how this guy does it. The vets can't walk into camp know what they are supposed to do, so they can't help the rookies. Teams like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Seattle and others have stability, it makes it easier to spot players that fit. It's also easier to plug them in because they run the same D, with adjustments. I think Vrabel may be that guy for us. He's going to be a top HC in the NFL, no reason for it not to be here. If he can get his guys in here to run the defense, it'll be a great start.
