She wanted him here. 8-8 and he knows he has to make changes and talks Strunk into keeping him. 9-7 wins a playoff game and he flips his lid. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am. If he doesn’t pull that shit he’s still the coach. I can't imagine him still being the coach and missing the playoffs. It would be one thing if the schedule was difficult. But missing the playoffs with the amount of talent the Titans had with the lack of injuries and that schedule? I don't see how they could have kept him. If Robinson could sell Adams Strunk on firing him after a win in the playoffs he could have sold her on firing him after missing the playoffs as well. I disagree. Strunk wanted him to be the coach. Robinson sold her on the fact this was his ceiling because he was unwilling to make changes. If he loses the KC or Jacksonville game he throws whoever he needs to under the bus.

Mularkey doesn't throw people under the bus. He refused to fire people in Buffalo and ultimately quit. Part of his problem is he's stubborn to a fault. I mean I guess you can give him credit too because he's not going to fire someone that he doesn't think deserves to be fired and instead is willing to take the hit. He would have fired every single one of them to keep this job if he actually thought it was necessary. He didn’t. He went for the power play and lost. I thought Robinson even said so in his post-firing presser that Mularkey was going to retain his staff which JRob disagreed with.

XAEA12
Without Mariota we maybe don't win any games at all. He's our MVP. Kern is more like the X-factor, that critical piece people arent giving proper credit or attention.

Though I was somewhat trolling with the OP, I did mean what I said that we don’t make the playoffs without him. Without those consistent long fields for the defense we would have been fucked. Absolutely. Off the top of my head excluding Mariota I can't think of anyone more worthy than Kern actually.
