He asked, so I think it was pretty safe to say he wasn't aware that we DON'T have three "legislative branches" of government. If you have a problem with a thorough clarification/explanation, and believe that just because I chose to explain it that way I was being petty, then you're as much of the problem as anyone. First, you were mocking him because he was just a stupid liberal, now you are explaining how government works out of the kindness of your heart because he asked you for help? Then you tell me to basically fuck myself for telling you that maybe it wasn't the best tact and now somehow I'm the problem? No, I don't think I'm gonna just let that one go. That's dishonest and frankly less intelligent than I would normally give you credit for.

I mocked @rns90, who made the dumb statement about 3 legislative branches, which legitimately prompted Oz's question. So I answered Oz, as honestly and thoroughly as I could. You're getting your posters mixed up Justy, or you didn't bother to follow the convo, but if you wanna keep on, go for it. Just know that you're doing it for a wrong reason. Maybe I just misunderstood.

So they don't really have full control. Therefore it's the Dem's fault. Huh? No, the republican office holders are fractured. There's the RINOS, and moderates, aka the "Swamp Dwellers," and the TEA Party/Trumpers. The conservative voters are fractured as well, but not giving up their positions. Just like last year when large portions within the fractured Dem voter ranks decided not to show up for hillary. The Bernie wing, or whatever you want to call them. But unlike the Dems and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the Repubs didn't force the illusion of party unity, and disenfranchise large blocks of voters in the process. (or they just weren't as good at it) They let it play out, and Trump won. But the congress critters don't want to follow, republican OR democrat, even though Republicans often saw their districts/states go strongly for Trump. And it remains to be seen who is reading the political tea leaves correctly.

They vote for what their constituents voted them in for, not Trump

They call them Cuckservatives now, and it's a label they give to anyone who compromises on any issue they care about, disagrees with any of their leaders, or whom they view as working with the Democrats on anything or even leaning left on small issues at all. Anyone who thinks there is a place for taxes and government to help the poor or regulate an industry. Anyone who thinks everyone should be treated equally. Anyone who thinks Trump is an incompetent douche bag. Oh, you were looking for substantive meaning? You should know by now they don't have any of that. It's just one more label they throw on people who go WTF when they propose the latest dumbass narrative.
pat
For example McCain is now a RINO - and he was the GOP presidential candidate 8 years ago! File him away with Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and Mitt Romney. Disagreement results in excommunication. Republicans have become the party of authoritarianism.
