scine09
Go enter the Bengals, Titans and either or both the Raiders and Jets going 10-6 (but not 11-5) with the Titans losing to the Saints and the Bengals losing to either Baltimore or Houston and see who gets in the playoffs. You're right I didn't catch that. I got confused on that would happen since the Bengals beat us and own the tie-breaker as we both would finish 10-6. reo
Interesting. i just went through picking teams that I thought would win each game w/o trying to manuever anything and the Titans got in. That's a good sign.

Yeah if that does happen it'll be funny to see all the Bengals fan (not a typo) complaining about it.
reo
Interestingly enough if my scenario plays out and it ends up: 1: Balt 2: NE 3: Hou 4: Den (division winner) 5: Pitt 6: Ten We'd play Houston first in Houston which is very winable w/o Schaub and possibly w/o AJ. You'd have to assume Pitt would dismantle Tebow's offense. Then we'd play Balt who we've already beaten and is winable. Then we'd play Pitt or NE... both of which would probably kick us around. Interesting scenario though.
scine09
I have it NE, Bal, Hou, Oak, Pit, Ten I think the Chargers are going to make a late run and the game vs Oakland will be to decide the division. In the NFC I have it GB, SF, NO, NYG, AZ, Dal
reo
There are seriously a lot of scenarios where the Titans make the playoffs this year... and by scenarios I mean win/loss combinations of other teams, not end results. Basically we need to either win the division or end up in a 3 way tie w/ the Bengals and Jets or just the Jets at 10-6 or even 9-7 but not 8-8 lol and pretty much all the scenarios factor in a loss this week. What would really suck would be if we won out and ended at 11-5 w/o the division (Hou beats Cin, Car, Ind but loses to us) and tied w/ Cin but Balt and Pit end up 12-4 then we're going home at 11-5 lol that would really suck. heyitsmeallen
i love playing with these things! a Win this week would put us in a great position for a berth!... but it seems every year we control our own destiny and somehow blow it!! if we win out and houston loses 2.. we will win the divison but play them in the wild card.. if we lose 1 game and they lose 1 we will be playing them as the 6th seed.. So either way if we make the playoffs, looks like we will play houston back to back weeks!
reo
A win this week would be great but what's even better is that a loss doesn't hurt us all that much. We need to beat Jax, Indy and Hou though. Those games are critical. It's still possible if we lose one of those but it becomes much more unlikely. reo
What's also interesting is if we finish 10-6 or even 11-5 and Houston loses out and tied at 9-7 with Cincy and NYJ... we play Houston in the 1st round at home lol w/ all the injuries it's possible there's an upset and Houston loses to Indy... does anyone really think Indy goes 0-16? That's rare. Sure, Det did it a few years back but it's still rare. hahaha i'm just messing around now. There's even a scenario where we could end up as the #1 seed How hilarious would that be? reo
Any chance we could get this thread pinned for the next month?
Titansfan920
The biggest thing I noticed (and maybe It's just how I'm doing the projections on here, but it looks like the Jets are our biggest competition. I know we as Titans are obviously prone and use to choking....but lets not act like the Mark Sanchez/Rex Ryan Jets are anything to seriously be afraid of. I'm not downplaying anything here, but we could have stiffer competition than the Jets and the Bengals (who I honestly think are slipping pretty hard now.) Sure makes the Bengals collapse sting more now though. If not for that, we'd be sitting pretty in the playoff picture.
Titansfan920
Any chance we could get this thread pinned until monday when we lose to the Saints and half of our fanbase goes suicidal and starts arguing on how ineffective Chris Johnson was?
