In games 3-5 Kyrie and Lebron averaged around 70 points together but Tristan Thompson is the reason it was closer games lol. He went over 30 mins in only 1 game and that's because they were playing with a lead the whole time. In games 1 and 2 they went down around 20 points heading into the 4th. You have to take out Thompson.

I would love to see Horry trying to guard KD or Fischer trying to stop Curry. Warriors could have Zaza McGee and west just hack shaq. He won't score 50 when he has to shoot 30+ free throws lol. The lakers couldn't match the warriors pace.

I don't like the style the Warriors play and Curry annoys me but there is no doubt they are one of the best teams of all time. They have averaged something like 67 wins the past 3 years and should be 3-0 in the finals. Adding Durant made them unstoppable in my view with the way the game is played these days. They deserve to be recognized for their greatness.

something greatly overlooked in this thread in damn near every post. If you use the words "all time" everyone just has to jump on your ass and act as if you are putting them in their own tier on their own pedestal towering over anyone else in the conversation.

And ill add on to it. Lets say this same Cavs team wins next year. Does that mean they are one of the best ever now? Because they would be 2-2 in the finals. And if they beat this Warriors team, that would make them 2-2 as well.

We have a long way to go and see this play out. Way to early to be dubing them one of the best ever.

Last year they set the record for most wins in a season.  This year they had the best postseason record ever.   They have arguably met the standard as one of the best ever, and you are way off saying they have a long way to go.

Lets break it down by singluar teams then.

Last year as you mentioned they won 73. Yet they lost the Finals. So people say that team wasn't better than the 72 win Bulls. Right? Right.

The year before they won the Finals but nothing else really impressive about how they did it. They got a win like a lot of other teams.

This year they lost only one game in the playoffs. Did you know there are two other teams to only lose only 1 game throughout a playoff run?

There have been MULTIPLE teams to go on runs throughout an entire DECADE. If people like you think it's appropriate to have them in the convo of greatest or one of greatest of all time after 3 years. That's a joke and a slap in the face to REAL dynasties that lasted a lot longer and accomplished more. You have no idea what will happen to this Warriors team a year or two from now.

Who is saying they are one of the greatest dynasties ever? It's only been 3 years. If you can't accept that this single warriors team is up there with the greats no one can help you. They would have won 70+ games had KD not missed the end of the season. Their offensive and defensive efficiency is through the roof. They walked to a title. Comparing teams of different eras is a hard thing to do. The game has changed so much it's impossible to crown one team as the greatest. This warriors team is one of the greatest of all time. That might only mean they are a top 10 team of all time. There have been so many great teams.

They don't even belong there. After 3 years, really?

How come no one said the Heat with James, Wade, and Bosh was one of the best ever? They accomplished as much if not more than the Warriors. LeBron is the better player in the NBA and a team in which he played for, with other greats isn't in consideration? Why is this Warriors team?

Again, I will use a football reference.... I guess we can never include the 2007 Patriots or the 2013 Broncos in one of the all-time great teams because they didn't host a Lombardi (or many lombardi's since that's really the only thing you're getting caught up on).

If you have a list of the top 10 teams in history I could easily make a case for either of those teams, especially over the likes of the Giants team that beat the pats.

Would you consider any other team (in the history of the game) in the conversation or is it once they hit that majority of a decade mark you can start the conversation? We're talking about if they deserve to be talked about in those lines... No one here is putting them definitively above anyone.

The 1983 76ers are considered a top 10 all time team.   They were one of those teams to lose only 1 game in the playoffs.   Age and injuries prevented them from winning more.    Despite only winning 1 time they are considered not the best, but in the top 10.    You don't have to be a long time dynasty to be great.

They are obviously recognized for their greatness. That doesn't make them a team that can't be pushed around. They were getting absolutely mauled by the Spurs, the last hard team in the league, until their superstar went out.

The 08-09 Cavs. Lmao. Ok.

They lost to Dwights bitch ass but considered a great team? Wow.

Lol at the list.

So that Cavs team, who lost in the conference finals is only 2 rating points worse than this year's Warriors and 1 rating point less than the 96 Bulls.

Lmao. Gimme a break.

As many titles the Celtics and Lakers share, as many great, dominate teams they've had, they only make the list once each?

And what makes that list any more reliable or correct than this one?

http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/the-7-best-nba-teams-of-all-time.html/?a=viewall

Or this one?

I think where the difference lies is yall want to go by one year. Fine. GSW in time I'm sure will be considered an all time great by me. But when a team goes to 3 straight Finals, I'm not comparing them as a one year team. I'm comparing them to teams that went on similar runs. If I do that, they aren't a top 5 team of all time imo.

And that's another question. What is the number where you stop considering a team one of the greats? Is it 5? 10? Want to stretch it to 15?

They only want to put 4 (players) on their mount rushmore and there have been far more great players than great teams.

Taking great teams and picking their best year and comparing it to another great teams best year is pointless imo. I'll wait until this GSW teams run is over, then I'll compare it to other great teams that went on runs. And see who was the best as far as how long they sustained it and how much they accomplished. No doubt their record setting regular season record and 2 titles with 3 appearances will do great for them in a comparison when it's time.

But again, it's way too early to compare because they are in the middle of what could the best Dynasty ever. Or it could end in a year or two. Either way, I'm not ready to compare.

If y'all want to compare teams based on one year, y'all do that. I'll watch.

One of those lists are from 2015. And it's the same list posted on two different websites. They also have the two GSW teams in the top 5 which goes against your claim of them not being one of the greatest of all time. My guess would be if they had done it for this year that a 3rd GSW team would be on the list too. 3 years in a row producing a top 10  team of all time.

Here is the link to the updated list that has the 2017 Warriors as the greatest team of all time

For one half of one game dude. It's possible the Spurs give them a series with a healthy Leonard available but the more likely scenario is that the Warriors maul them like they did a better Cavs team.

Whoa man... It was 2.5 qtrs of the game... Don't be biased and only say that it was for 2 qtrs

I'm not sure what your point is to be honest. My point was very easy to follow. They are a great team, but they're not hard, and they were being dominated on their home court by the last team in the league that resembles the hard nosed teams of the past.

His point was that it was for the first 30 minutes of the series. Sure, the entire series could have played out exactly that way but odds are that the unanimous best team in the league comes out ahead after 7 full games.

You don't think there was a 30 minute stretch the Bulls of the 90's gotten beat pretty bad?
