BS. You have to make the tough decision in fantasy some times.

Just being a homer because you traded for him lol.

Nah, i'm not being a homer.

It would be different if Howard had already had some decent games.

You're talking about starting a guy who couldn't beat out 2 other guys on his own team and who has 12 career carries, over a guy who was a top 10 draft pick and fantasy stud last season.

Carson Wentz wasn't able to beat out Bradford and is now balling.

These rookies are hungry.

Ansah isn't playing, Levy isn't playing. They have Hoyer QBing who isn't pass happy like Cutler. Jeffery banged up again. We just steam rolled DET on the ground in a game we were losing most of.

I think Howard has a better ceiling this week than Gurley. I wish that wasn't the case cuz I'm starting Gurley in my big money league. That's just what I'm feeling.

And as I said before, ARI will be playing pissed off. LA might not see the redzone.

You can make similar arguments for lots of fantasy decisions.

John Brown has been an absolute fantasy bust this season. But he's finally weeks removed from a concussion, Palmer rarely has 2 bad games in a row, and they are playing the Rams who will be focusing on stopping Johnson, Fitz and Floyd.

I'm starting Brown this week in a flex spot but I wouldn't start him over Beckham (who had a bad start like Gurley).

It's great when you are able to pick a spot and score more points by making a roster move but more often than not it backfires when you are talking about benching a stud for an unproven 5th round pick.

Gurley or Murray @NashvilleNinja just answer.

Uh what? I'm not benching Murray for Gurley if that's what you're saying. If Gurley were on the Titans he'd be the starter, so don't get me wrong... but he's not. He's a Ram. His quarterback is Case Keenum. Idgaf what you may or may not think of Mariota right now, that's a night and day's worth of difference there.

No for the season just pick one for me to trade for.

Can we get over using the term "stud" for Gurley?? He started the season hot but hasn't produced more than a handful of midround picks have in that timeframe the 2nd half of the season.... He's good over the course of a season because volume but he isn't a must start if you are serious about matchups

That being said, go Gurley over Howard

Ah... just give me a stud WR and you got it. My WRs for this team aren't so great. Alshon Jeffrey, Jarvis Landry, Sterling Shepard, Jordan Matthews, Sharpe. If it were a PPR league they might be pretty decent, but it's standard scoring.

If Gurley had a decent QB handing him the ball he would probably be putting up studly numbers right now. There's nothing about his game that you can blame for his lack of production. It's all about the Rams QB situation and their offensive philosophy in general. Again, if he were our RB he would probably be blowing the hell out of the stat sheet right now. Murray has been awesome, but Gurley would probably be better.

And I will be going Gurley. I just wanted to see what the opinions were of Howard.

Different league.  Sorry for being so ambiguous.

Obvoisly he is studly in talent but there is much more to fantasy than individual talent. He's great don't get me wrong but let's get over this notion though that he is unbenchable. He'd be a perfect buy-low candidate and good rest of season.... Besides the fact that people still wouldn't sell him low because "it's Gurley"

When Brown was missing Rapey last year he was very benchable and the smart thing to do was play other guys, all because the QB and other players around him (sounds familiar)

Yeah be we aren't talking about benching Gurley to spot start Matt Jones or Ryan Matthews.

We're talking about benching him to start a no-name rookie 5th round pick who literally has 12 carries to his name.
