Everyone knew deep in their own territory Dinger was going to run a draw. They sure as hell weren't going to Let VY throw it deep in his own territory with a lead. Oh there was plenty shown and written about in 09 about how defenses were playing VY. He was shown 0 respect and given man coverage, of course defenses didn't play him the same as they would have Collins. I remember one of CJ's big runs was against a 9 man front. CJ really burned 8 and 9 man fronts because once he got past the crowded box he was long gone. He was an aggressive runner that season, hit the hole and broke tackles. Dinger did a great job using counters with VY's mobility to get CJ in open space. But this was short lived. Teams figured out the best way to defend CJ was to play 7 man fronts and keep him from busting outside, basically containment. Gage had 100 yards receiving in the 1st but half there aren't a lot of players like 08 CJ floating around, of course he was the focal point and a huge loss.
