I really thought this team was different but they are just the same shitty ol' Caps when it comes to the playoffs. 30+ years and counting. Snake bitten. The only reason they are down 3-1 is because the pens goaltender is playing out of his head. I could see them coming back in this series. That's not a prediction. Just saying I wouldn't give up hope yet. I can't see them losing game 5.

They are being outworked along the boards and don't want to go to the front of the net hence a majority of the shots Murray is facing are from the perimeter. Now that being said the Pens have gotten all the bounces this series but I hate to use luck as an excuse. The truth is the Pens are playing with more energy and heart and are creating their own luck through the first 4 games. As for game 5, I fully expect the Caps to lose. You have to do everything within your power to avoid the goalie and contact from a defender isn't enough to let the play stand. Based on the rule the call could have gone either way. Of course as a sharks fan I thought it should have been a goal. Really just depended on how the refs viewed it.

To even have a chance you guys have to win 2 games at home against the #1 road team in the NHL or win 2 games in the tank. Odds are against you guys. I will acknowledge it isnt over yet but Im feeling pretty good over here on the west coast. Yeah, we're feeling pretty good in Nashville too. Bring it on. freakingeek
Epic game. Longest in franchise history. What the TV didn't show is during the 3rd overtime, right before the GWG, during the commercial break, the crowd (which was still nearly full capacity at 1:10 a.m.) stood up and cheered continuously during the whole break. A minute later it was over. It was awesome.

Number9
The other night a couple of friends came in after the game. You could feel the energy. Another pal was there last night and he said the Arena was shaking!

Number9
Tough loss tonight. Still, they are right where they were before Thursday night's game. They have to win two in a row.

Going back to Nashville down 3-2 and would have been a dangerous place to be. Our backs are to the wall. Being confident is one thing, being cocky is another. Predators lost 5-1 if you didn't stay up to watch it. They looked drained. Gotta wonder if that tough 7 game series and 3 OT game 4 is catching up with them.
